All I can say is WOW! Although it may seem this game is bit pricey, I am so glad I spent the dough to get it. Very high quality and for the awesome family time it has created...priceless!!!! My daughter 9, son 18, and younger daughter 4 all play it with us (the parents) and we definitely have a swashbuckling time with it. Beings the Dad, 18 and 9 year old are a bit theatrical in nature they deck out in pirate garb and the works and we even brew up some of our very own "rum" (aka tea)to ward off scurvy and they speak piratese throughout the entire game. It is a total blast! The game itself is high quality wood, metal and fabric and we absolutely enjoy it! Plus, as a bonus, we learn historical facts as we play the game, whoot!Customer Review: Not worth the price!

My son was swept away by the description of this game he found in a mail-order catalog. Playing it is less enchanting. The game goes on and on, and those who are not winning are not having a particularly good time. Although Dread Pirate is extremely beautifully made, it is not a favorite. We've had an amazing amount of fun with better games, such as Zendo and Chrononauts, playing game after game. There are certainly much worse games out there than Dread Pirate, but there are also a few that are tremendously better. Buy this game if you are more interested in the quality and feel of the game pieces than in how much fun the rules are.Customer Review: You won't be dissappointed!!

BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!! You will absolutely LOVE this game! I have 6 nieces and nephews ranging from 8 to 17, and EVERYONE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT! I carry this game around in my car with me for house visits. With a little imagination you can add some of your own treasure challenges to it as well!
This game can bring the FAMILY back to the table for some quality time, something I think most people need a bit more of now-a-days (ahem video game junkies...hahahah).

I saw this game in a colleague's office and I was truly amazed by it. This is more than just a simple game...it's an elite game! Instead of a dingy cardboard game board, you get a Pirate map! Plastic coins? Heck no! You get solid metal coins that have real weight to them. Any Pirate fan would love this. Game collectors and RPG gamers should not pass this up either. Great stuff.
