THIS GUY WAS CUTE-SHE HAD GREAT FUN PLAYING WITH HIM AND TAKING HIM TO GO POTTY. I HAD BOUGHT THE DVD ALSO, AND TO NO AVAIL IT DIDN'T IMPRESS HER MUCH. SHE HAS BEEN DOODLING IN THE POTTY HOLE SINCE SHE WAS 7 MONTHS-BUT IT HAS BEEN TRICKY TO GET HER TO JUST TINKLE IN THERE. ELMO WAS CUTE FOR HER TO PLAY WITH, AND SHE LIKED HIS SONGS AND ALL......BUT OVERALL SHE LEARNED TO COMMUNICATE ON HER OWN.
DOLL IS WORTH THE BUY IF YOUR TODDLER LOVES ELMO. NICE COLLECTORS ITEM.
OTHERWISE JUST USE AND RELY ON YOUR OWN MOMMY SKILLS.

It took me a full year to potty train my daughter. She just would not go and sit on the potty. I tried a potty book, which had lots of rave reviews from other parents. My daughter loved when I read it to her, but nothing. A friend with 2 children recommended getting a potty doll. I found the Potty Elmo while doing a toy search on Amazon. I bought it since my daughter loves Elmo. I brought it home, and that night we practiced teaching Elmo to potty. Within one day my daughter was using the potty. No joke. Potty Elmo is too cute, and that's not even the best part... he trained my twin boys within days. Potty Elmo would say that he is thirty and then after your child gives him his drink, he says he's got to go potty. If you get Elmo onto his potty on time, he goes, then sings a cute song. If you don't, Elmo says, "Uh-oh" and he's going to try again next time. Simple and gets your child to go, too. How cool is that? Note: In addition to potty Elmo, I bought Elmo underwear with the baseball cap from ebay.Customer Review: The Elmo Experience

We've enjoyed Potty Time Elmo at our house. He seems to have piqued our daughter's interest in learning to use the potty. Mercifully, his cup does not actually fill with liquid, and there is no "end product" to deal with. You may, however, feed Elmo from any cup, as he only requires that you push the switch in his mouth when he is thirsty. I enjoy that he doesn't become too dispondent when he has an accident (if you don't get him to the potty on time). I love this toy!!! The familiar and fun face of Elmo combined with POTTY TRAINING!!! Perfect! Both my kids are crazy about Elmo and putting a potty with him is a great idea! My son is 2 and a half and has been using the potty randomly for at least six months, but it's nice to have Elmo, to show him that if Elmo can do it, so can he! I can't explain in any other way how cool this toy is. Only problem is that sometimes Elmo loses his potty, so we have to hunt around the house for it, LOL.
