Toys and Games Reviews of IncrediblockCustomer Review: Another great toy for your peek-a-blocks collection Summary: 5 Stars
This really is the best peek-a-block toy we own (and we own ALOT) Its the most versitile, and interesting toy in the whole line.
Its actually quite large, large enough for my when my now 11 month olds to use to pull-up. Each "face" of the incrediblock brings newly found facination with the toy. Our children can play with it for HOURS... literally! And its a toy that I dont feel guilty leaving them with (like a walker or something) I also found the toys music to be just the right volume at the highest setting to be fine (well the noise is usually only what they are playing with, and thier father and I talking or watching T.V) but I could see how more speakers would make it a bit better... but atleast its not one of those annoyingly LOUD toys!
My 11 month old twins LOVE the top spining part, it plays music and is so much fun to turn into a merry-go-round (my 24 month old does this with her little people). It does make an annoying grinding noise when they grab it, but thats really the same with ANY toy that spins. I too found it difficult to get a peek-a-block in the little space, but we manage just fine!
Theres one side that you drop peek-a-blocks in, and they tumble around and then end up at the bottom. My 24 month old LOVES to do this, my 11 month olds cant quite master the teqnique, but love to watch them go down. They are hard to retrieve from the bottom (have to pick it up and shake em' out) but we have so many peek-a-blocks that it doesnt matter if a few get "stuck" because they dont run out, and I can just take them out when they are done playing, I dont need to interupt... If you dont own too many, than this may be quite fustrating for your baby whos still playing! (trust me, they play for a LONG time)
Theres also another similar side. This side "stacks" the blocks in rows... My daughter enjoys showing us the fine motorskills by doing this. My sons have troubles, but LOVE to spend a great deal of time trying to get them OUT... And when they get one out she puts two (not exactly, but you get the idea) back in! So maybe not the most entertaining side, but fun none-the-less
The mirror side is interesting for my sons, but my daughter could care-less about it! My sond take great pride in showing mommy and daddy how they can put the blocks in the giraffe or the elephant, this is much harder than putting them on a table like surafce, NOW they have to put it on a vertical surface! I wish that the animals were the right colors (like grey and orange and brown) because they blend in too much with the whole side of the block, maybe if they "stuck out" a bit more my daughter would be interested. The mirror is in a useless spot, sort of just thrown in there, no ones ever really noticed it... no matter how much me and daddy try to encourage them to!
The next side is probably my favorite! My daughter LOVES sorting differnt things (yes you WILL find more than peek-a-blocks inside!) and finds this to be the most "challenging" side for her. Theres also a hollow inside (where whatever goes through the sorting holes ends up) and we found that a GREAT place to store the peek-a-blocks (as well as the peek-a-blocks wagon). My sons actually love to open the door constantly... tyhe giggle EVERY time... Over this side are also flaps and buttons to push (make music)
As I explained different sides, I also showed how the toy grows with your child. Each age finds something else to love about this toy. Its fun, and of course lights up and makes music (fun when its off too).
We LOVE the incrediblock, just another great toy for all ages!
Description of Incrediblock5 sides of busy play!

4. Drop & Tumble: With distinctive sounds and fun movement, each Peek-a-Block offers new surprises while tumbling down the IncrediBlock. Baby will love dropping them in over and over, anticipating that something fun is going to happen!
5. Stack & Spill: Baby will love learning to stack blocks in, one after another. Watch fine motor skills steadily improve as she uses the IncrediBlock, along with eye-hand coordination, as blocks are grasped and stacked. Young children have a seemingly infinite capacity for exploration, investigating everything thoroughly and relentlessly as they try to learn about their world. While this Fisher-Price set is not likely to fully satisfy that curiosity, nothing ever will, it is likely to keep young kids quite busy and occupied. Eight blocks are included in the set, the clear cubes found in many modern Fisher-Price sets, and they are the key ingredients in the five interactive sides of the cube. There are options to stack the cubes up on a rack and then release them to tumble down with a turn of a lever, put them though holes to initiate perky sounds and flashing lights, and plenty of other fun games that should delight toddlers. Inside the block is room for up to 30 Fisher-Price blocks. There is some cause and effect teaching going on here but, as with all good educational toys, toddlers are not likely to think much about the learning; theyre too busy having fun. --Charlie Williams
