Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price T.M.X. Tickle Me ErnieCustomer Review: Better than Elmo, not as Good as Cookie Monster Summary: 4 Stars
The Tickle Me Ernie is great. It made me laugh when I opened the package. I am a dad and an uncle. It is my job to check the toys for safety and potential dangers. You know, choking, way too much lead paint, maniacal laughter that may cause light headness and possibility of passing out. I found no small pieces that could cause choking. I licked the toy a few times and tasted no lead. The only warning I can give is...Ernie's laugh is contagious, so when the little guy falls down and tries to stand and then rolls to his side and your kids start laughing, it is over! I defy you to try to keep a straight face! I was cracking up, and I was alone. I played with it so much that I had to replace the batteries before wrapping it up. The only better toy is The Tickle Me Coookie Monster. Elmo might as well retire. There are 2 new sherriffs in town!
Customer Review: Adorably Cute Ernie! Summary: 5 Stars
We just bought this little Ernie today with my son's Christmas money! He is so cute. It laughs and says, "Help! Rubber Ducky!" It had my two year old cracking up when I set it off in front of him. Ernie is so much more entertaining than the T.M.X Elmo. We sold our T.M.X Elmo on ebay because he was just plain annoying and my son would always knock him down and play with something else. I think Ernie has a cute laugh that actually gets me laughing! He is also very eye catching with bright orange, blue, yellow, and red. One important thing: Ernie works more effectively when placed on a hard surface. He tends to fall over alot when placed on carpet. Would recommend for any little one!
Customer Review: how fun! Summary: 5 Stars
This one (and the cookie monster one too) is SOOOO CUTE! I can't believe that it can stand up, sit down, roll onto his back (while having a laugh attack) turn to his side, and belly laugh that way, sit back up, grunt and rock to a bowing position, and then stand back up again. It really freaks my dog out, but the kids love it!Fisher-Price T.M.X. Tickle Me Extreme Cookie MonsterFisher-Price T.M.X. Tickle Me Ernie
Customer Review: "Possessed" Ernie Summary: 1 Stars
We have the Tickle Me Elmo and our 21 month old loves it, so my husband ordered Tickle Me Ernie thinking it'd make a great addition. Ack! Ernie scared the crap out of our son! Unlike Elmo, he doesn't have a cute little laugh and shake. Tickle Me Ernie is, for lack of a better word, possessed. He spins on the floor and shakes like he's having a seizure, then jumps back up, freaking the hell out of you. Perhaps this is just me. It looks like lots of other reviewers here love this thing. But my idea of fun (and my son's, apparently), is not epilepsy Ernie.
Customer Review: Lovable Earnie Summary: 5 Stars
I bought Earnie for my 16 Month old Daughter for Xmas 2007. She wanted nothing to do with him because I guess he was scary and noisy but now she is a year older and loves him so much that she takes him everywhere. It is a good and durable toy and I'm going to get the Cookie Monster this year for her. She also has the TMX Elmo and Baby Elmo as well.
