Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price T.M.X. Tickle Me ElmoCustomer Review: Amazon is not a person... Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered earlier on the 19th and received my Elmo two days later. To the earlier poster who intends to ream out Amazon in their company newsletter: First, Amazon is not a person. Amazon is a computer. The problem with the Elmo orders was the system was overloaded with hundreds if not thousands of multiple orders coming in very quickly and simulatenously for Elmo from all over the world. By the time the confirmation was done, the quantity in stock had plumented to below zero even before the computer could catch up.
So don't blame Amazon. Blame the media for causing the Elmo Panic. Under normal conditions, Amazon rocks.
P.S. I would think twice before making this complaint to your aerospace employees. I have a feeling they won't be impressed.
Customer Review: Elmo TMX is worth every penny Summary: 5 Stars
We got this for my two yr old son for Christmas as he loves Elmo ad seeing as it's the hot toy this year i made sure to get one as soon as they were avaliable from Amazon.
When it arrived and he was safely in bed asleep we got him out the box to 'check he worked' or maybe just to amuse ourselves as he looked so much fun on the FP website. We were not dissapointed ..
It's been a very longtime since i've seen two grown adults and a teenager laugh so hard at a little kids toy. When he fell down, started hitting the floor and yelling "stop" we were laughing harder than Elmo,it's just the greatest toy and worth every penny because i know come Christmas morning it's not only going to make my son beam with delight but it's going to amuse everyone else also in the room.
Customer Review: Waste of money Summary: 1 Stars
We don't buy fad toys but this was gifted to us. I thought he was cute. But there are several things I don't like about him. He takes 6 batteries! When he "talks" and he's wiggling the mechanical noise of him competes with his voice. His "tickle spots" are buttons that really you have to push pretty good if you are a little kid. If you play him on a hard surface than his kicking feet might startle your little one as it did mine. My child was concerned for Elmo lol, she thought there was something wrong with him when he fell over. The one we were given it seemed to have short outs...it would be going and then stop and lightly pushing on him he'd rev back into action. We exchanged him with a new one from the store, same issue. Nice design flaw. Overall, my child is kinda bored with him.
Customer Review: TMX stands for "The Most Xpensive" Elmo Yet ! (j/k) Summary: 5 Stars
I consider myself very, very lucky as I just happened to be shopping at my local Target on the morning of Sept. 19th when I saw the display. I didn't open it as it is a Christmas present for my toddler but I did see the videos. I'm hopeful she will find it as amusing as I do. But I still remember my two year-old niece being terrified of the "original" and HTF Tickle-Me-Elmo ten years ago. So, don't spend a fortune on eBay as your child (and mine) will quickly tire of it just like most electronic toys out there. Instead, be patient and check the less obvious sources like Costco, or Kohls, or even your Stop&Shop supermarket. Btw, my title is a joke. I remember paying $40 for the original elmo ten years ago (yes, I have very good luck) so actually given inflation, it's the cheapest one yet!
Customer Review: Well worth it... Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't purchase this item at first, but came across one at the last minute and decided to buy it. My 3 1/2 year old had been enjoying all of the videos on the internet of this Elmo in action, so I figured he would enjoy the real thing. I believe he is the perfect age for this item. I can see how it might scare the younger kids, but my son really enjoys him and plays with it for quite some time. Please be aware, although his fur is soft, this Elmo is not meant to be cuddled. He is made of very hard plastic. Like some other reviews have said, this Elmo does seem to get stuck in mid-action sometimes, but all you need to do is "tickle" him again and he springs back to life. I am very glad that I purchased this item and would reccommend it to others with older toddlers.
