Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price T.M.X. Tickle Me ElmoCustomer Review: Elmo is for grown ups too Summary: 5 Stars
I don't have toddlers in my life, but this would be a great gift for a grown child or even an adult. Who can't use a good laugh once a day? Even though I might not be in the mood, he always makes me laugh everytime I run him through the 3 giggle sequence. I can't help it, its contagious. I'm going to use it as part of my daily wellness therapy. It certainly couldn't hurt. Just a little dose of Elmo to start my day off right.
All the teenagers I've shown this too think its very cool. They'll watch, laugh, walk away, come back later and run it through the cycle again to laugh some more.
My oldest daughter is going through that tough stage of life between college and starting her life in earnest. She's blue a lot these days. Elmo will help brighten her days too.
Now that's a lot of therapy for $39.99!
Customer Review: This is the main POINT Summary: 5 Stars
I think everyone finally gave up and realized that there is nothing noone can do about people selling the cute little guy at a higher cost. I hope everyone that did get one already, even though it cost them 100.00 at least they have one to give to their children when they wake up for santa to have for them. Christmas is not about the money but about the only time other than a childs birthday that they get something. Just get the elmo at a high price and buy the child some other things not as expensive that you were going to buy them. If elmo is what they want for xmas then price does not matter. If you are poor then even 39.99 is too much. BUT if you are buying this toy because you want your child to have it even though he or she might or might not like it or hasnt even seen it on tv yet then JUST DONT BUY IT AT ALL
Customer Review: Fun while it works Summary: 3 Stars
I got this for our 2 1/2 year old. She was afraid of it yesterday when we gave it to her. She kept saying. "turn it off". Today she's gotten a little bit better. When we were showing my in-laws it got stuck and kept shaking all over the floor. We got a kick out of it, but the batteries died. So after 1 day of play we need to replace them. No problem! Yeah Right! We've spent 2 hours trying to replace the batteries on Elmo's left foot. The side that requires 4 batteries does not slide out. We've used screw drivers and everything to get them out. Needless to say right now we've given up and I will be calling customer service tomorrow. That's why I'm only giving 3 stars because I can only change the batteries in 1 foot and not both, and for such a short life span. Other than that it was fun for the adults while it lasted.
Customer Review: tickle me funny Summary: 4 Stars
Im a parent of boy/girl twin who lives in NYC. I bought 2 TMX (the elmo & cookie monster). The elmo I was familiar with and thought the children would love it for xmas and they do. It makes them laugh too. I was highly disappointed with the cookie monster as it is noticeably smaller than elmo in height and width - 14.5"H vs. 11.5"H. The performance of the elmo is rated 5 stars vs. cookie monster 3.5 stars. We put in new batteries in on xmas day & the monster needs new ones by tues a.m. while elmo is going. monster is a definite batt. hog & wont perform all action on low batts. I prefer cookie monster's sayings though. Lastly it costed $30 more for the monster @ 69.99 vs. elmo @ 39.99. I dunno why????? Conclusion: I will be returning the monster to get the elmo; I also think amazon should incl the measurements of the toys.
Customer Review: Economic Elmo Summary: 4 Stars
I personally called about 10 stores looking for this little guy. Each one said they were sold out and they couldn't tell me when they could possibly be getting some more in. The Toys R' Us was the most annying because I could clearly hear a tickle me elmo laughing in the background. Anyways, this reminds me of the Xbox 360 from just last year. My parents went searching all through November and December looking for one and didn't even see one. Same thing with the original Tickle me Elmo. As more Elmos go onto ebay the new sellers will ahve to lower there prices to be the cheapest. Everybody calm down. It's September and Christmas is nearly three months away. Fisher Price won't just stop making Elmos. There will be plenty for everybody come christmas time. Best of luck to everybody searching for one for their children!
