I am writing to agree with many others that the whiners/complainers need to just deal with the fact that this is a HOT toy and hot toys are usually very high in demand so you will need to just be quiet and accept that if you want one of these Elmo's, you'll need to pay more as EVERY site I've visited today is sold out [...]. Quit complaining already. Some of us were able to get 1 or more of these and if we manage to gain/profit some $$ by reselling our damn Elmos, so be it. It will be $$ that is well needed during the holiday season, to pay bills, to support the family, etc etc.
This Elmo is fantastic. He's so funny that even my cat cant help want to play with it. Adults, children, neighbors all love him. Yes, I agree that for a toddler it can be a little scary but once they get used to him, they love it. You had to see the expressions of the kids at the stores. There expressions were an early sign of what a fun Christmas really ought to be for all children. Don't delay in getting one. Elmo is indeed for all ages. Will doubt you will regret it!

My mom purchased the TMX Elmo for my 15 month old daughter. Not being the type of person to buy into toy-hype, I had absolutely no intention of buying one myself. Let me just begin by saying that Elmo is very funny when you first see and hear what he can do. It's funny for both adults and kids. My daughter LOVED him. . . . for maybe a week (at best!). I now have a $40 dust collector. She has totally lost interest in this toy. If you don't already have it, take your child over to a friend/neighbors house who does and let them play with it there. That will probably be as much time as they will play with it at your house anyway. If you absolutely MUST have it, by all means, buy it, but DON'T pay more than the MSRP for it. First off, it's SO not worth it. Second, don't make greedy people rich just to try and buy your child's happiness....there will be more in stores before Christmas obviously (do you really think Fisher Price wouldn't make enough to fill Christmas demand??? -- they're trying to make a profit too!)Customer Review: Economics = Supply and Demand

All you people whining at Amazon.com, it is not their fault. I bought a number from Amazon.com and KB Toys and plan to sell on eBay around Christmas and make a tidy profit. THIS IS AMERICA!! It is not some communist country. Who will buy them for possibly $350. Those spoiled little rich kids whose mommy and daddy buy them everything they want who drive around in the BMW MX3 SUV's, the Lexus SUV's, etc. My goal is to make $, so I can take care of my family and put food on the table, that is the American way. Do I feel bad for the child that cannot get one of these because people scarfed them up. Yes. However, my priority, is to support my family. And if that is by buying a boatload of toys for $39.95 and selling them for > $100 and make a tidy profit to put towards my childrens college fund, then I will do it. That is the American way. If you don't like it, go to some crap country like Venezuela or a former Communist block country where everyone lives in a crappy appartment and drives crappy cars.Customer Review: TMX Elmo Is NO Hype, It really is a Fantastic Animated Toy!

TMX Elmo really IS A BLAST! First his box has a flap which when opened gives you Elmo giggling and telling you he is in the box. Then when you take him out the first thing you will notice is how SOFT he is! and may be surprized he is only about 15 inches tall, but once you press his foot and see him giggle, animate himself, roll over, roll to his side and then stand himself up all while giggling he WILL impress you AND you WILL not help but smile and laugh with him! He also talks, tells you to tickle him more or less in his cute Elmo voice. He requires common household AA batteries which is kept in a compartment not easily accessible to children. His soft fur does not pile or come off if pulled. He has NO buttons, pins etc. which a child can bite off.
A child can have alot of fun at playtime with him, He is sturdy and can take a beating. One drawback is he is Not made for nighttime cuddling, the internal mechanics which allow him to do all his funny tricks does not allow him to be too soft.

"Amazon,
I came to your site because of the good service I received in the past. I was looking for a Elmo TMX, and yes, I realized it was a longshot. I was expecting to find them sold out, however, I was not expecting you to be sponsoring a vendor selling them at 4 times MSRP. This is a very poor practice and it will lose you valued customers, if you don't believe me, read the reviews your're getting from your customers under the TMX review section. These will be available everywhere soon enough, and I refuse to be bled dry over a toy. At the end of the day, are you willing to lose customers to turn a quick profit? It would seem wise to take care of the customer so they will continue to buy through you. Just my opinion. By the way, I will not buy this through you, even if you are the only one that has them. It's simply wrong."
These will be available soon enough, don't support those who are allowing this to happen. Just my two cents....
