Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price T.M.X. Tickle Me ElmoCustomer Review: Great for Adults....and kids Summary: 5 Stars
I run a daycare center and bought one of these yesterday- mostly because I thought it would be a great thing to have on my desk- something for adults and children to play with while they were in my office. I pulled it out of the box, and it was ready to go- batteries included, and only 3 of those annoying wire ties to unloosen. I figure what fun is having him, if you don't play with him?
I got to see adults and children from the ages of 6 months to 9 years play with it. First, for the babies- it is an action toy that they want to put their hands on. However, if you do, you have to start him all over again. Some babies were petrified of the sudden movements that elmo made. Other babies couldn't wait to get their hands on it. Toddlers reacted the same way. I guess it will just depend on them. The older the kids were who interacted with elmo, the more they liked it, and could understand the humor in it.
Lastly, the people who liked this toy the most was the teachers, and parents. The belly laugh and the floor pounding was awesome. It made everyone laugh. Which was the point of my buying it. His laugh is contagious and cute, and although I usually find most elmo stuff annoying, this for some reason didn't get on my nerves at all. I just loved seeing the reaction that people had watching him. He will have a long life living on (or near) my desk.
Hope this helped you out if you were looking for a real life review of this toy... Good Luck!
Customer Review: Do you people even read or pay attention?? Summary: 5 Stars
Amazon is NOT overcharging for the item. Amazon is a showcase for other vendors who are overcharging so if you want to spew your venom, direct towards those vendors' way.
Well, come to think of it, its not the other vendors problem either. Maybe you should look to the rest of America where parents overcompete to win their child's love and buy outrageously priced toys that wil be forgotten in a month, 200.00 shoes that get dirty in a second, cellphones & pagers etc etc. If the people are out there wanting to spend money to buy their kids affection instead of teaching them to grow up w/ morals and values and not to live by greed and selfishness, then why shouldn't the vendors make their money off of these fools and their spoiled brats?
And by the way people, its only mid-September. The holdays are a LONG way off. You dont think Fisher Price has a ton more of these in stock?? If you had paid attention, you would know the companies only release a limited amount of a new item to cause this kind of frenzy. Why buy into it?
No one ever died not getting what they wanted for Christmas. Why don't you people try and enjoy the holiday and your family and not worry so much about how much money you can spend, how many presents you can buy, and how much you will cry about those credit card bills you will be paying on the next 20 years when TMX is in a landfill somewhere and your kid lives in another state ignoring your phone calls.
Customer Review: Not a kid...Just too lazy to sign on...ELMO IS WONDERFULLY MADE! Summary: 5 Stars
My 4 yr old daughter has been begging for this elmo every since she saw it. (Which was at her friends) She has been nagging me...I figured she'd get bored after begging for awhile..Nope. Didn't work. Spite the fact her friend carries hers everywhere. Elmo sleeps and eats and goes for car rides with her friend and sleeps in his box and even has his own clothes. I figured I'd go buy her one. None anywhere. Signs all out of stock. Ebay prices sky rocket and I can't find the doll nowhere. So I'm going to work..(I've given up) and I see this huge crowd surrounding Target. I join them. Only 20 elmos... 234 people... I'm thinking.. God help me. They stampede like wildbeasts through the door and hope is lost. Good ole al came through. He saved me one. The box is so cute!!!!!!
My daughter jumped two feet high...ran round the house screamed and cried and laughed. "Hon, the laughing ain't beginning yet."
Now I know why the heap is so good. This toy is brilliant!
He slaps his knee...falls to the floor and does hilarious stuff... He's a gutt buster. I couldn't help laughing myself.
This elmo is everywhere with her. She sleeps with him.
Shes had him for two months now and has managed to put him down for 30 seconds.. A RECORD! Whenever she feels down..she opens that silver box and starts laughing again.
Love ya elmo!
Peace out.

Customer Review: We Love Elmo Summary: 4 Stars
WOW I love the TMX ELMO, TRUE, I must say I wish it were Softer, Not so Hard, I think my 1 year old is too small for it, I bought it for her, but i must Admit I love to hear him Laugh, Everyone that has come by my house since we got it on the RELEASE DATE, I have shown it too. WE LOVE ELMO, She watches him on TV everyday I buy all the Elmo and Seasame Street TAPES, SHE LOVES HIM. The reason I think she is too small for him is because she watches him for like 10 seconds and immediately she wants to HUG HIM and LAUGH, I try to keep her from touching him until he is done, She is not as ammused as I am by the Tossing, and Slapping his leg, and rolling over. I think it is Hilarious, WE LOVE HIM, The kids know that when I get mad and fuss they tickle elmo and it puts an instant smile on my face. NO HE IS NOT CUDDLEY, But he is still cute Elmo, I bought her another elmo that was soft for Hugging, But she still wants to hung the Funny Elmo. I think that is so Sweet. Definately worth the orignal Price, I would not pay these outrageous EBAY people the big prices for him, They will eventually get one in at the stores for you, I paid right around 45 dollars for him the week before he came out (that was including Shipping charges), I recieved him one day after his release date. WELL WORTH WHAT I PAID. Don't get ripped off, or Scammed. Just wait for the stores to get you one in.
Customer Review: The excitement definitely wears off! Summary: 2 Stars
I honestly can't believe that this toy has gotten such great reviews, especially by those with children 3 and under. My son had his second birthday yesterday and absolutely loves Sesame Street and Elmo. Since Elmo is his favorite character and this was supposed to be the hottest toy of the year, I made the purchase via pre-order at KB Toys. I was going to save it for Christmas, but I'm glad I didn't since he doesn't care for it anyway. It actually scared him and his friend when we opened it for him. They both ran into the kitchen and had looks of fright on their faces. We were very surprised. Us adults all had a laugh from it, but seriously now...what adult would want one of these things? I find it a little absurd that some adults bought them for themselves, but to each their own. After a few minutes of watching him do the same exact series of laughs and moves over and over again, it definitely is worth putting him up on a shelf for display verses keeping him in the toybox. I have a great picture of my son running over to Elmo and throwing a piece of wrapping paper at him. I'll post it soon when I have a chance, but for us...Elmo was no hit for the little person he was intended for. My son's favorite toy was a wooden mailbox by Melissa & Doug and his tricycle. I thought we saved the best for last by opening him last, but we were wrong...
