I saw the reviews about the durability of the cars and not only went ahead and bought it for my son, also bought it as a gift for a friend's son. The friend reported no problems. For my son, one car first lost its juice and recharging didn't work and then the other car soon followed. The fun for this race track and car set ended up being measured on the low side of weeks (not months). I've even looked to buy replacement cars, but it seems a lot of the shake and go cars out there are larger size and don't fit this set that takes a smaller size car. I still haven't found the replacement and am now searching for other alternatives for the fun a good track could bring. This was it for a bit, but just for a short bit.
