Customer Review: Fun but quit working

My 10 month old son got this toy for Christmas and we all got a good kick out of it at first. It is definitely loud, but the song is cute and catchy and my husband and I found ourselves singing it to our son in the car. Our son loves to touch the pizza's moving "lips" and now sways back and forth just like Elmo when he dances.
As with another reviewer, our Elmo stopped working about two weeks after we got it. We've replaced the batteries a few times, but it continues to quit playing after only a few words of the song.

We have the Hokey Pokey Elmo and so I was expecting this Elmo to be as big as the one we already own. It's about half the size. However, it is really durable since it's already been dropped a ton of times in one day!
Yes, the song can get a bit repetive and annoying after the 10th time, but the kids (2 1/2 & 5 years old) like it so much and are so entertained, I really can't complain.
It's a bit on the pricey side at full price, but if you can get it on sale, snap it up!

When I bought this for him, my son was 22 months and he just loves the thing. He opened it (Christmas morning)and by the end of the day he knew the words to the song and was singing along. I'm tolerant to noises, my husband not so much. He was getting kinda annoyed with it. LOL I wasn't gonna buy it for 25.00-30.00 at the store but when I found it on amazon for 7.50 I had to buy it. Now though I would probably pay full price. He liked it that much. Well maybe 20.00 anyway.Customer Review: I'd love to give this 1 star.... but....

My 2 year old daughter is just mesmerized by this. She could watch it over and over again. So, anything that keeps her attention for more than 2 seconds is okay with me!
She even watches this video over and over.
The little pizza sings along with Elmo. I don't think it does much more than that. So after her playing with it at the store for 20 minutes, I didn't buy it. When I saw it here MUCH cheaper and free shipping, I just had to order it!

The good news is my daughter loves it. She's an Elmo and a pizza fan so she's thrilled with it. The bad news is...every adult in the house wants to chuck it outside. It's very loud and there is NO volume control. I'm seriously considering 'operating' on it tonight to find the speakers and then sewing it back up before morning. It also only does two things. It sings a song about making pizza and it tells a joke. I got it on clearance so I can't complain TOO much...
