Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price® Roll-a-Rounds? Drop & Roar? DinosaurCustomer Review: Full of fun! Summary: 5 Stars
We brought this for Christmas for our then 9 month old. At first it was hard for her to put the balls through the holes because her fingers would get pinched between the ball and the hole after a few days she figured out how to get the ball through the hole and since then she has loved playing with it.
The dinosaur was very easy to put together and has stayed together. Our daughter likes to sit on the head and the back of the dinosaur and she loves to put her foot on the ramp and the stairs and through all of the tough love, the dino is still standing strong.
Not only does our daughter love the dinosaur but we love to play with the dinosaur with her. She loves to race the balls to see which comes out first. I would recommend this toy to other parents!
Customer Review: Lots of fun! Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my son when he was 8 months old. He learned rather quickly how to put the balls in the holes (which we were thrilled about!). I feared that he'd tire of it pretty quickly, however. Now at almost 11 months he still stops to play with it about once a day. I enjoy that it's so sturdy (since my son uses it to crawl over quite frequently). I was wary of buying this because of the ill comments about how the pendulum gets stuck. Ours has only stuck every once in a while; not a big enough deal to not buy it. Too, sometimes the ball doesn't come all the way out from the middle hole (with pendulum). I don't know if it's just uneven plastic on ours or if that's how all of them are. Like I said, though, it's enough fun for the babies to get it anyway.
Customer Review: An okay toy Summary: 3 Stars
When we first got this toy my girls played with it more often but the fun wore off after a few weeks. Now they do not really play with it much but some kids will probably love it. We have also had the balls get stuck inside the dino but have never had anyone get an arm stuck (although I can see how it can happen). I have had my 10 month old tip the dino over when she was trying to stand up using it as leverage. If you place the toy against something this problem is solved. It is also solved by being right there at all times but lets face it, it takes 2 seconds for your child to pull to standing and tip it over and if you have more than one child you can't always be watching every second. I would say this toy is okay but I have found others that are much better.
Customer Review: Lots of fun Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter received this toy when she was 9 months old. At first, she couldn't figure out how to get the balls through the holes, but she loved to play with the balls and watch my husband or I put the balls through the holes. She can now get the balls through the holes herself. She loves the music and the lights. We have found this toy to be very sturdy. The only problems we've had have been very minor. The butterfly that spins on the tail has become a little bent after my daughter has pulled on it. One of the levers that activates the music when a ball is put in a hole would frequently stick when the toy was new. After a month or so of use, this was not a problem any more. We have not had any problems with balls getting stuck or the dinosaur's head coming off.
Customer Review: A laugh riot Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this toy after playing with one set up for display at a local store. Our baby (10 months old) laughed himself silly. He got the dinosaur for Christmas and we were surprised that he immediately began dropping the balls in the holes. We hadn't realized he had the ability till he got this toy. The only downside is that our little guy has the odd (?) habit of lying on his belly and shoving the balls into the exit holes. He once got his hand caught in one of the holes because he wasn't letting go of the ball! That caused some serious screaming and it was hard to get him free. I think he has learned his leason though, as there has been no repeat of the incident. If your baby starts doing this you should supervise play to be sure you are there to help!
