Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price® Roll-a-Rounds? Drop & Roar? DinosaurCustomer Review: Very entertaining and smart to boot Summary: 4 Stars
Good for a number of reasons: a handful of good cause-and-effect lessons here, placing balls, listening to music, watching action. Also colorful and large enough not to knock over so easily. For parents, the option of no sound or two volumes is a plus. No sound in this case works just as well, but plays no music, a very very very good idea. Of course when your child gets smart, they turn the sound on and cover the sound switch with a finger, thus playing the songs over and over again (which even for adults aren't that bad).
All in all, a good toy.
Customer Review: Great Distractor for Baby Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my son for his first christmas. He loves it. While he hasn't figured out that sticking the balls in is what make it light up, he has figured that pushing his rattle in and out of the holes does the same thing. I took a star off since in the store, in the photos on Amazon, and in the directions it showed the butterfly on the tail connected on both sides but this was not the case. If the ball doesn't knock it out the of the way it will get stuck behind it. Otherwise, it is such a great toy that we have fun getting on the floor and playing too!
Customer Review: Not as sure as I thought it would be... Summary: 3 Stars
My 14 month old son loves music and playing with balls so I thought the Drop & Roar Dinosaur would be a sure hit. While he does like playing with it at times, he prefers his Fisher-Price Jungle Friends Tree House. He does like activating the music by pushing the levers in the holes, and does like rolling the balls around the room...but he gets little fun from using the balls with the dinosaur. The balls do get stuck and back up in the middle hole, but overall the quality of the product is good. The music isn't too loud or grating, and the lights are colorful.
Customer Review: Where is the fun? Summary: 3 Stars
I heard this was a "hot" toy, so we picked it up for our 11 month old son. He could care less about it. We can place the balls into one of the 4 shoots, and in less than 1 second, the balls slide out of one of the shoots. My son looks at me as in to say, "Ok, now what"? He has already figured out which hole to place the ball into to come out of which slide. After a day, it is sitting in the corner not being played with. The music is mediocre, the "roar" is kinda low. It is a very "cute" toy but it doesn't hold his interest much. I am disappointed in it.
Customer Review: Good for 2 weeks Summary: 3 Stars
My 9 month old enjoys playing with it, only for the music. The first week it was exciting that he was learning to put the balls in the holes. But now he figured out all he has to do is push the thing that makes the music play. Now that is all he does, or uses it to try and stand up.
We have it up against a wall to prevent it from tipping. The balls are great though- he loves to bang them together! He also has the blocks like the balls- which he loves. Also- the balls ALWAYS get stuck in the middle hole and you have to fish them out of the dinosaur.
