Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher Price Rock & Play PianoCustomer Review: my daughter's favorite toy Summary: 5 Stars
I like to avoid buying toys that a child will quickly bore of. So I take my daughter (now 19 months) to the toy store and set her down in the aisle. I see which toys she gravitates to. I take it off the shelf and let her play with the box. Well, after probably half a dozen times doing this, she ALWAYS picked up this toy. So finally I bought it. She was so excited as I put it together. From the day I bought it (probably 3 months ago), she has played with it every day. She likes it in the rocking mode, and she loves flipping the pages on the book to make the songs change. And she bobs her head and rocks the piano and basically just jams along. I keep it in the kitchen and she entertains herself with it whenever I'm cooking or cleaning up. She will carry it from room to room herself to play with it too.Recently her 18 month old boy friend came over to play. It was an immediate hit with him too. He liked to straddle the seat and stay standing up and pick the whole thing up by the handles and walk around with it. The two of them took turns (euphemism for fought over it) for probably an hour. Best of all, mom and dad like the music too. We both catch ourselves humming the tunes. Our daughter will start playing with it and I'll start dancing around the room to the music --- she just thinks that is hysterical. I already plan to buy this as a birthday gift for a niece and Christmas gifts for others. This is a good bet for your toddler!
Description of Fisher Price Rock & Play PianoBrand new in factory sealed box Here's another great item in the Sparkling Symphony line of toys by Fisher-Price. Younger ones can create music with the Rock and Play Piano by sitting on the included seat and rocking, while older toddlers can play it like a real piano using three different modes. In mode one, simply press a key to hear an entire song. In mode two, press a key to hear part of a song and press another key to hear more. In mode three, play your own song by tapping the keys--an instrument selector allows players to choose the piano, violin, harp, tuba, or flute. The piano offers a repertoire of four classical songs and four children's tunes. Stimulate kids' senses and activate their imaginations with this enjoyable addition to Fisher-Price's family of musical toys. --Jane Snyder
