I gave this to my daughter last Christmas, she is almost 3 now and loves it. She plays with it every night. She has a tea party with our golden retreiver just before bedtime. The only negative is that when the tea pitcher gets knocked over it plays a very annoying tune until you sit it upright. I'm not sure there is any auto-off feature.
It's very cute and sits on a little table in her room. Very colorful and sturdy. Keep your eyes open on price though, I've seen it on here from $[...] but only paid $[...] by waiting till the price dropped. Now I see it is back up to $[...] again.

I couldn't give a rating, because I haven't purchased this yet, but plan to do so for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I have the Fisher Price catalog in front of me, which says specifically that it is for ages 2 years & up. It does not say anywhere that there are small parts/choking hazards as TRU indicates. I have noticed that Amazon/Toys R Us does not always list the correct mfr's age for the toys they sell. I've noticed this with the Disney My First Princesses when they first came out, but TRU has since corrected the ages on the site. Just FYI. I will correct the rating once I purchase the toy.Customer Review: Disappointing

I was so excited to purchase this toy as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Once the toy was opened we pulled out the little plastic battery-saver tag and... nothing. No sound. Checked batteries and they are fine. Called Fisher Price and they do not supply replacement parts for this item. Unfortunately, I no longer have the receipt for this item. Wal Mart says they do even exchanges, only they are not carrying the item any longer. Hmmm, I wonder why. So, we have a plastic tea set that makes no noise. Otherwise, looks sturdy enough. My advice would be TO CHECK FOR SOUND BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!Customer Review: Great for imaginative play!

I purchased this for my 2yr old daughter's birthday, based on other reviews, and have not been disappointed. The music from the teapot lid is not terribly loud, and my daughter seems to enjoy it. I find it easy to ignore myself. However, she has gotten the most play from this item in the bathtub! We don't use the lid obviously, due to the batteries, but she takes the rest of the set into the tub and pours tea for her bath critters! It is very sturdy, I love that everything fits on the tray and is easy for a 2yr old to carry. Overall I am very pleased with this product.Customer Review: for older toddlers

I bought this for my granddaughter for her first birthday, knowing she was a bit young for it, but wanting to get her first tea set. She isn't ready to pour for her dollies or stuffed animals, but she enjoys the sounds from the teapot and pretending to drink from the cups. The little cups and saucers are just the right size for little hands, and the spoons are sturdy enough and the edges are soft enough for teethers (she only recently got her first bottom teeth, and we have no worries about her chewing on these.) The set is adorable and the price affordable.
