We got this for our daughter's 2nd b'day. The sizes are perfect for her little hands. It's an adorable set and the tea tray is a great addition. Since she's our 2nd daughter we have several tea sets that she has "inherited" from her older sister. The Musical set is by far her favorite. Very durable (so far!), which is a good thing when her older brother is one of her tea guests. Also, I was able to purchase this set at my local Toys R Us for $16.00; don't pay the ridiculously high prices for this set elsewhere. Oh, Kate also got a Tickle Me Elmo and guess what she plays with the most? More enjoyment and imagination are to be gotten from a $16 tea set than a $40 mechanical toy:-0

I purchased this for my 18 month old daughter to have as a surprise when we arrived in the US. (That way I didn't have to bring a lot of toys with me.) From the minute I unpacked it she was in love. She made tea for her Grandpa and played with this everyday. She loves the music and while it can be a bit monotonous it makes her happy and isn't too loud. I am not too bothered about the holes in the cups as I do not really want her sloshing water around the house and I do not want to encourage that. In looking at the holes I don't think that it would be a problem to fill them up with hot glue and that would solve that problem. Love this toy and at 10.99 you can't beat the quality!! I was so excited to receive this as a Christmas gift, however, I was greatly disappointed when we went to have our first real tea party. Although the tea set is great for pretend play, it can not be used for real. I filled the cups up with juice and discovered that all the tea cups have holes in them, allowing everything to spill out. When I called to complain to Fisher Price, I was told that this is done on purpose because of new standards. They were nice enough to send me a voucher in the mail, however, I would probably not purchase this again. If you are looking for a tea set that you do not intend on really using, I would recommend this, however, if you plan on having a "real" tea party, look elsewhere!Customer Review: My little girl loves this set!

My daughter recieved this gift for her second birthday. She has played with it every day since, (that is going on almost six months now.) It has stood up to the wear-and-tear of every day use without a trace of damage from either her or my one year old son who likes to take the cups/spoons and throw them repeatedly. The only reason I was not willing to give this toy five stars is because when the top comes off of the tea pot, it begins to play a very annoying digital tune until it is placed upright AND finishes what it started. One day, MOMMY had enough of this noise and finished what the tea pot started by stashing the top away in a drawer. For Christmas the girls got bikes, musical & talking toys, crayons, dresses and more...I'm from a large family so they got gifts from everyone :)
Anyhow my husband and I had also gotten them a used play table from craiglist and I decided I wanted to set-up the table with the Tea Set ready to go....I can honestly tell you that both the girls play with this tea set everyday!!!! They love it. Even when my nephews come to visit I find them all playing Tea Time...I love it.
I believe the tea set encourages pretend play, sitting politely at the table and even conversation.
Today I'm back looking at this product because I want to order a second set!!!
