Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Musical Tea Set

Customer Review: Hours of fun
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter received this for her second birthday and it has been a favourite ever since. The cups, saucers and spoons are just the right size for little hands (and not too bad for parents hands as well if you are playing along). The teapot is cute and makes a twinkling noise when you "pour" or plays the song "I'm a little teapot" when you press the button on top. It also comes with a milk jug and sugar bowl. All the things you need for a wonderful afternoon tea. Everything fits neatly on the tray and my daughter doesn't seem to have too much trouble carrying it around when serving tea to me and her special doll. This is a wonderful tea set for play, not too many pieces and made by Fisher Price so you know it's going to last.

Customer Review: Wonderful! Traditional toy brought right up to date
Summary: 5 Stars

Fisher Price rarely disappoint, and this tea set is no exception. There is the usual set of four cups, four saucers, four spoons and a tea pot, plus a milk jug and sugar bowl. What this adds is a little turntable (is it called a lazy susan?) in the middle of the tea tray on which the child can place the tea pot (or anything else they fancy spinning round!). They have also added a little mechanism in the tea pot lid which plays a little tune (The theme from Watch With Mother) when the button on the top is pressed and another to indicate that it is being tipped. This is really an excellent toy for all ages. Even after my nearly two year old has gone to bed I find myself making myself a sly cuppa just so I can hear the pouring noise!

Customer Review: My daughters AND my nephews LOVE this toy!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My ten-year-old had one of these when she was little and played with it for years. Now that Grandma has it, my nephews play with it every time they visit. It is their favorite toy. I love that, because I am a mom who fully believes that toys are not "gender-related." Boys should learn about having tea and playing with dolls. They will someday be dads and may possibly, like my husband, spend a great deal of time working in England!! Now that I have two more little girls, I had to find one of these sets for them. They play with it constantly, and love learning to pour, serve, and mix. They are rough with it, but it stands the test. The ten-year-old tea set still is like new, so I know this one will last at least as long!!!!

Customer Review: Adorable and Durable
Summary: 4 Stars

My daughter received this adorable tea set from her Grandmother when she was one. She's 3 years old now and still enjoys playing with it. It's held up really well, nothing has broken, the original batteries are still going strong!! This tea set is just the right size for younger children, the cup handles are easy to grasp, the pieces are easy to clean up afterwards, and the tray is handy for keeping all the pieces together on a shelf when not in use. Some reviewers mention the lid music being a bit annoying, I didn't find it to be a big deal, and really I didn't even pay attention to it after awhile. You will get your money's worth with this set and maybe even get a chance to hand it onto another child or sibling. =D

Customer Review: Absolutely wonderful teaset!
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter (now 19.5 months) received this tea set for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She plays with it every single day and loves to have tea. We have never had anything in the cups, but the tea pot and cups are big enough to actually have water in them to play with when she gets older. She just absolutely loves to pour the tea and stir and drink from the cup, its very cute.

The only thing that I have noticed: When you tip the tea pot, it makes a little sound that you tip it. This little sound is there even when you play the "I'm a little teapot" song - so the song and the sound overlap each other.. so that is a little annoying, but still an absolutely wonderful toy for any little girl!
