Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Mickey's Surprise ClubhouseCustomer Review: In the end, your child will like it Summary: 3 Stars
First of all, my 3 year old loves it. However, for the price, I will admit it is made poorly and doesn't perform as described. It comes with Mickey, Minnie and pluto. You can buy Goofy (with chipmunks) and Donald (with lost lion toy). I was unable to find a Daisy figure. It comes apart real easy, for storage I assume. I will likely glue it together so my child doesn't get frustrated. My main complaint would be the volume level. It is so loud, we took the batteries out and before he knew it made a sound. It screams the hot dog song so loud, you can hear it across the house! Overall, the toy is fine and your child will love it if he/she has an imagination. It is pricey for what you get, but worth it for us because child loves mickey mouse so much.
Customer Review: it's OK Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old as a Christmas gift. She LOVES the show on TV, and I thought she'd enjoy the toy. She DOES play with it a lot, but it is not exactly what I expected. I thought if you bought different characters, they'd speak in their own voices - but that is NOT what happens. Only Mickey gets to speak, and it's the same 3 phrases over and over.
It's fairly sturdy, with only the hot air balloon coming detached a few times, but even my 2 1/2 year old can fix that.
I'm glad I bought it. She uses other toys with it (Little People Characters) and creates all sorts of stories using the clubhouse as a starting point. But I'm glad I didn't pay more for it, it wouldn't be worth more than $20 in my opinion!
Customer Review: Not as fun as it looks! Summary: 1 Stars
My Mom bought the Mickey Raceway & the Clubhouse for my twins, a boy and a girl, age 2. They hardly play with it, and both my husband and I were disapointed with the construction of the toy. The parts come apart easily, and the clubhouse itself is cheaply designed with a garage that looks nothing like a garage or the garage on the show. I agree with the other reviews, it's not right that they promise it has a slide and lights...because it doesn't.
The coolest thing about this clubhouse is that it sings the "Hot Dog Song," but it sounds like they had some drunk guy with no singing experience, sing it in a bathroom closet. It sounds vaguely like the version by They Might Be Giants, but not close enough to fool my kids.
Customer Review: Glad I didn't listen to other reviews Summary: 4 Stars
This was the only thing my 3 year old son was asking for Christmas. After reviewing everyone else's reviews, I was hesistant to buy. However, I didn't want him to think Santa wasn't listening, so I purchased it anyway. Well, I was pleased with how this turned out. He loves this and was so happy when he unwrapped it. This is a pretty fun toy and after awhile, you get used to the "Hot Dog" song. It's kinda catchy if you ask me. The attachments come off pretty easily like everyone else said...but, if you teach your child how to put them back on..you aren't having to help then every 10 seconds. If your child wants this toy and you can find it for a reasonable price ($22.95 on amazon when i bought it) it is worth it.
Customer Review: fun toy for the kids Summary: 2 Stars
This is fun for all the kids. They enjoy the music and the characters. They like to play with all the moving parts and watch the "cause and effect" of hidden things popping out when they open the gates and pull on levers. The major parts do not stay connected, but the toy is still useable and so far is durable. The characters attach to the stage, but they each stand in a specified spot. This only works if the child can figure out how to attach the pieces by being able to interlock the pieces. I think this is too advanced and needs work from the product maker. Other than that, it's a really fun toy. I do not beleive it is worth the $45 or so from Toys r Us. I paid around $29 from amazon and this was a much better deal.
