Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Mickey's Surprise Clubhouse

Customer Review: Great toy if you can get it cheap!
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this as a gift for my niece who is three and she loves it. I got it when it was on sale here at Amazon for [...], and if I had paid more for it I would have felt ripped off, but at that price it's great.

My complaints are the same as everyone's. I bought Goofy and Donald separately and assumed that when I placed them in their spot it was going to unlock their character voices in the toy, but this is not the case. The third spot to place a character has no idea which character is in it, and there is no Goofy or Donald sound at all.

Some parts of the toy also feel cheap, the gate doors do keep falling off and are difficult for young kids to operate, the balloon comes off all the time, and the part that connects the balloon to the house got looser very quickly, so now the balloon just sort of droops in place and then falls off.

Customer Review: Not at all what we thought it would be
Summary: 3 Stars

This toy was definitely not what we expected! It's very cheap, and the pieces all come apart with VERY little effort--not such a good thing for a 2-year old trying to play! The product description must be for a different toy, because there are basically none of those features. I agree with the other reviewers--and the most annoying thing is definitely having to move a stubborn lever back and forth to merely watch the characters go up and down while the Hot Dog Dance song plays. I was also disappointed to find only 3 characters (Mickey, Minnie & Pluto) when the box showed more, without any notice that they weren't included. Definitely not worth the money--although it was only $44 at Meijer, so if you're going to buy it, I'd recommend getting it there instead of on Amazon. The only redeeming factor that kept me from returning the cheap toy: My 2-year old absolutely loves it.

Customer Review: Not the Best-made Toy
Summary: 3 Stars

This Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a poorly made toy. My 2 year old LOVES the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show and loves any little figures I can find having to do with Mickey Mouse. Mickey's Surprise Clubhouse was a gift for my daughter. The swing very easily pops off, as do the gate doors. Additionally it is hard for little fingers to open the gate in the first place as the mechanism that opens the surprise panels in the grass is quite tight. These things are very frustrating for my daughter. The toy is also in two separate pieces and doesn't attach together very well. It plays the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song which is cute and the characters talk depending on where they are placed on their pedestals. This is the best part of the toy. Maybe this toy would be better geared for a child who is closer to age 3 or 4 and wouldn't get upset by the pieces that don't work!

Customer Review: Mickey's Surprise...
Summary: 1 Stars

I got this as a Christmas gift for my 17 month old son. He and my 5 year old have played with it a handful of times, and overall I am not impressed. Especially for the price!

The hot air balloon barely stays on & falls off every time they try to move it around. Also almost all of the characters fall out immediately after you put them in. Donald is pretty much the only one who stays since his feet are so big. The doors to the gate fall off too, and it is pretty tough to for a kid open them and get the path to appear. Minnie is hard to get on her pedestal and gets stuck so that the button does not work once she is on.

Overall, for the price it is definitely not worth it. If your kids play very gently with toys and love Mickey, then you may get some use out of it. Otherwise I'd say pass on this one.

Customer Review: Fun toy for girls and boys
Summary: 5 Stars

First off, this toy comes with Mickey, Pluto, and Minnie. If you would like to purchase more of the figures at a very reasonable price ($5 each) go to the fisher price website and type in mickey mouse clubhouse in the search area. Don't buy them on here for $10-20 each when you can get them there cheaper. Another option is to get all of the figures and the clubhouse through toys-r-us website for $60. Anyhow, the only real problen is the house doesn't lock together so yes if your child is a hellion it will "pop" apart. Both of my kids, ages 2 and 5, LOVE this toy and are HUGE fans of the show. They both spend hours playing with this toy. So the bottom line is, if your kids got ears and say cheers buy this for them and you will not regret it. Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggidy dog!
