My two year old son loves this toy. He pushes the train all over the place and it makes fun noises and music. Although it's very bright and colorful. My son has thrown this train down stairs and has run it into walls etc and there is not a mark on it.. Also it still works, so it's very durable. It's great for him to play with and keeps him entertained. However, if you want a toy with educational and learning features, this is not really the toy for that. It has a few minor educational values such as hand and movement cordnation to move it and make the music go, but that's about it.
All in all a great toy for fun, but not for learning. I would reccomend it though because all kids need a few toys that are just, toys.
