Customer Review: Two Thumbs Up And Zero Problems
Summary: 5 Stars

My two-year-old daughter received this for Christmas and the things that most people find negative about it I see as positives. I am glad it doesn't play music; it gives my daughter an opportunity to use her imagination and sing songs herself as the Little People ride the rides. (Besides, it is one less toy to get batteries for.) And while I understand that it can be frustrating for kids to get the wheels of the car between the tracks, I think it has improved my daughter's dexterity. (She can do it with no problem now.) And no, this toy may not teach the alphabet or numbers, but it is educational in the sense that children can imitate their own real-life experiences at an amusement park. And yes, the rides come off, but being detachable is a bonus as far as I'm concerned because it is much easier transporting the ferris wheel and airplane ride to Nana's house than bringing the whole toy.
I must agree that the seats are poorly designed because the people fly right out, but experiment with the people. Some of them have smaller holes on the bottom than others and fit better on the ferris wheel. (My daughter has turned the people falling out into a rescue scenario. Cheryl the Paramedic comes and patches the victims up.)
AS far as quality goes, we are lucky in that we haven't experienced the same problems others have. Nothing has come apart or broken; the rollercoaster works every time. But I have to admit, the plastic is a little flimsy. If you are concerned about durability, there is a new Little People musical ferris wheel out now and a new Little People Fun Sounds Park that has a tea cup ride and a smaller roller coaster.

Customer Review: Fun but difficult...
Summary: 4 Stars

This toy is adorable but not the best of the little people sets. I have about twelve Little People sets for my children (3 under 3)and this is the most difficult to operate. The ferris wheel and plane ride is constantly coming off and the people do not stick in the seats like they do on every other toy. It is also very hard for my kids to get the car lined up properly to go down the shoot. They just got it yesterday so I am sure it will become easier but right now they get frustrated when the plane toy and ferris wheel falls off because they are not attached to the base either. I think that these toys should all screw together like the Little People Fun Sounds Garage. I also think that the characters should snap in to their seats. Other than that it is great for promoting hand-eye coordination and it is fun for me because they actually want my help. My son especially loves the clown, it seems like every Little People toy comes with the same characters (the blonde boy with orange book bag and frog especially), so he is thrilled with a new "man" and it helps because he LOVES clowns! One last thing, I havent had trouble with the loop coming off yet, but the tower that the loop is attached to has pictures on the sides. Usually Little People Decows are stickers but on this toy they are snap in cardboard. Not a good idea. Ours are already off and ripped so it is no longer attractive. My son actually got a paper cut on the cardboard when he pulled it off. Overall, we do enjoy the toy though, this one just needs extra adult supervision!

Customer Review: very happy with this toy

After several months of debating I finally bought this toy. I read the other reviews on this web site and decided to try it for myself.
I grew up with Fisher Price. I live with most of the sets that my now 2 1/2 year old loves. this is one set that we can bring with us to friends houses and he will play with for hours. My friends have fun with it too. Notice I did say my friends. It is different and a lot of adults have not seen this toy every where.
We like that there is a spot to store all of the people and cars.Is is a little bulky to travel with? It fits next to my sons car seat. I figure some of our friends do not have toys so it is worth it to me to bring something that will amuse him.
I liked the toy. He plays with it for long periods of time. The roller coaster is cute and only did not work once. I also make sure if my son wants to move it the whole set, he doesn't hold the loop. I feel that is why the loop wouldn't work after a while because it becomes disfigured.
All in all a great toy.

Customer Review: Whee!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 2 year old daughter received this as a gift and it has become one of our favorites! She loves sending the Little People down the roller coaster in the cars and seeing the car pop out through the door. It does take some patience to get the car on the track just right so that it doesn't come tumbling down - but after showing her how to get all the wheels on and then to push the button, she can do it by herself most of the time. Sometimes she purposely tries to make the car crash before the loop and thinks it is histerical! Some characters do crash more than others based on their weight and the pure physics of the toy. The carosel and the ferris wheel do come off easily, but I assume that is part of the design - to spread the park out. This is a great toy to play with at a play date...with two cars each child can choose which car they want (red or blue) and take turns sending their car down the track. It does take supervision, but it has really helped with the whole sharing thing. Overall a very fun (but big) set!

Customer Review: Guess we're an exception, but we enjoy this toy
Summary: 4 Stars

I was very surprised to read the negative reviews about this toy. We have played with it often for over a year now (my son is almost 4, daughter just turned 2). My son is more intersted in it than my daughter. He loves to make the roller coaster cars go down and around the loop and through the door. Having been on a few fair rides himself by now, he has fun re-enacting his experiences with the little people on the airplane ride and ferris wheel. I love that there is a toy with so much to offer and no annoying lights or sounds. Our children have fun making up their own sounds as the Little People enjoy a trip to the fair.

I have not experienced any problems with durability. I'll admit that it can be a little frustrating for my 2 year old when the rides disengage from the main toy (as they were designed to do), but it is really just like putting a puzzle piece back into place, and she is learning how to do it just fine now. Good toy, great fun, great price.
