Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Little People Animal Sounds FarmCustomer Review: Hours of Fun, Fasinating Entertainment for Small Ones Summary: 5 Stars
Boy or girl, the Fisher-Price Little People Animal Sounds Farm is fun, will keep the attention and occupy more of the play time then many other toys because of choices of things to do and activity in making things work. Also there is enough variety and creativity that your little one will "want" to play Farm. This is a toy that can be used for play by themselves or with others, providing they both don't want the same animal. Very well made, living up to Fisher Price reputation of excellent quality and safely constructed toys. Good to stimulate imagination, coordination, reasoning (do you put the cart before the horse, so to speak) memory, learning the names of animals and sounds they make, creativity. I highly recommend this toy as a fun as well as a learning activity and have purchased 2 as gifts for small children in my life. They love it and the moms love it too as it keeps the little ones entertained for a little while.
Customer Review: Not much to do. Summary: 2 Stars
This was our second most disappointing toy of the holidays! Cute animals and sturdy product, but the sounds only work if you open doors, and two of our sounds actually don't work. Then the product has a random "slide" that you can push the chicken on the front of the farm to the left and it pushed down whatever character is there onto the roof slide? Totally random and really not that much fun. The silo can store the animals but it is very narrow and a bit hard even for my two year old to stick her hand in to get our the animals. There are absolutely no other pieces that come with this farm and really nothing for the animals to do except stand in the barn so it really hasn't inspired any creativity or play. Instead the animals have wondered off this farm and have ended up in the Little People house and castle where they have a lot more fun. I would pass on this particular model, not worth the money and not a lot of fun.
Customer Review: my 18 month old's favorite toy Summary: 5 Stars
This is our first little people toy for my son and I was not expecting much as he's still too young for pretend play. I was pleasantly surprised. This is the best toy we've ever paid money for in our house! It is the only one where he will lay on the floor and play by himself, keeping himself amused for at least 10 to 30 minutes at a time (previously unheard of for us). My son doesn't like electronic toys with lots of noises so we don't even use the sounds. He loves to open and close doors and the openings are all a good size for him to fit the animals through. The silo that opens and closes is great fun for him, as is the chicken in the hayloft. As he grows into more ways to play with this toy, I can see it being a great investment for quite a while. I have since bought other little people toys but none have come close to this one. I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: Why did this have to happen on Christmas Eve.... Summary: 1 Stars
I am very disappointed in Fisher Price, Amazon.com and myself....I happened to get 'mail' from Healthytoys.com and found that the adorable little Fisher Price Animal Farm set that my little grandson Leo would love has unacceptable levels of chlorine...which affects reproductive systems and may cause asthma...Mama Mia...of course, I'll be sending it back to Amazon.com and will hurry to find something else for Leo. I am upset and angry at Fisher Price for still selling 'bad' toys...haven't they gotten the message to clean up their act yet, I'm upset and angry at Amazon for being an outlet for these toys and, of course, upset with myself for not being diligent enough in researching my shopping. But, there is a silver lining, I found out about all of this before Chistmas...before Leo got to see the cute little farm set and love it. Bah Humbug!
Customer Review: My toddlers' favorite toy Summary: 5 Stars
The Little People farm is great for imaginative play, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and social development. I originally bought this farm 3.5 years ago for my oldest son, it has now been handed down to my 1 year old, ans still looks brand new. It has held up very well to a lot of play, and abuse. The animals are very cute, and my youngest will sit for LONG periods of time playing. In addition to being a farm, it has also served as a garage, school, the silo is constantly being removed for outer space adventures as a rocket... and when I'm not looking... a stool. Even though my sons constantly remove the silo, there are no sharp edges as a result, and it easily snaps back on (must hold silo at a angle to barn, push in the bottom, and then the top.) I even bought the Little People Farm for 2 of my friends' kids, and they love it too.
