Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher Price Learning Home

Customer Review: Worth every penny!
Summary: 5 Stars

We got this for my son when he was 10 months old. He absolutely loves it! It has so many things to keep him entertained. He loves the mailbox, light switch, and the day/night spinner. Also, the ball shoot was a big hit mostly because he soon realized he could make "the itsy bitsy spider" song play when he dropped the balls in. Now, (5 months later) he spends a lot of time playing with the radio. He knows what button plays his favorite songs and he will keep playing them over and over again. He loves music so much, and when switched to music mode, everything that moves (except for the flower) has a different song or sound! He is beginning to be more interested with the shape sorting and I am glad to see this toy will grow with him. So happy with this purchase. One suggestion for Fisher-Price: the key to the door does nothing. It won't stay in the door and you can't turn it. All the other toys that come with the house have a "home" except for the key. Ours was ignored and lost long ago. It would be nice if the key had a function and a place to put it.

Customer Review: Great for Twins!
Summary: 5 Stars

My twins recieved this as a gift for their first birthday and have loved this from the moment they saw it. It has so many cool functions that both of my boys are able to play at the same time without interfering with each other. I believe it has also helped with their small motor skills and their language development.

Really, all of my four children love this toy. My 7yr old uses this as a prop/door while building forts out of blankets and cushions...my 2yr old daughter loves the numbers on the house and crawling in and out of the door.

I use this also as a tool in teaching my boys about sharing and taking turns, it works extremely well since their are so many other cool things to do that they are easily redirected - and they are still playing with the same toy so it doesnt cause quite the fuss.

Overall this toy is amazing, the best part - for a mom with four kids is that when the twins play with this they are absorbed and dont bother to paw through their endless toy box causing a HUGE mess. I love it!!

Customer Review: Great Fun!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My twins received this as a Christmas present, and it is probably the most popular toy in our house right now! They absolutely love this toy and don't seem to get bored with it at all. They play with this toy everyday and it is so much fun to watch their delight at some new discovery. We are still finding new phrases and activities. My twins clap their hands, dance, hum, and laugh out loud while playing, and the fun gets even better when their big sister (almost 5-yrs.-old) joins their play!
I can't say enough good things about this product. It is sturdy, durable, educational, fun, easy to put together, and was definitely worth every penny. There are also lots of other Laugh and Learn products that can be added on to the house or played with independently. We have added the puppy, the phone, the chair, the walker/car, and are currently on the hunt for an in-stock bird bath.
I highly recommend this toy, and the entire line of Laugh and Learn products. They are so much fun! You and your toddlers won't be disappointed!

Customer Review: Wonderful toy!
Summary: 5 Stars

We got this toy for our 7-month-old daughter for Christmas, but couldn't wait to give it to her! So far she has really enjoyed it. She likes to spin the flower petals around and also the spinning toy in the grass. Her favorite thing is to chew on the mail from the mailbox! She seems to respond well to the music, although there are a couple of songs I find annoying. Most of the songs are good and recognizable, but a couple of them I have never heard before. The learning mode is great. She is still too young to fully realize what everything does, but with repetition I think this will help her learn everyday concepts we don't normally think about. The window says up & down, the mailbox says open & close, the light switch says on & off. I have really enjoyed playing with her with this so far. It is a larger toy, but the base is not to wide so it fits nicely against the wall. It was a little more than I would like to pay for a toy, but I think there will be several months worth of play out of this toy. It definitely deserves 5 stars.

Customer Review: So much to do! Endless learning opportunities!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

Overall, this is an action packed learning funhouse!

PROS: Countless educational opportunities at every turn. There is something different to do everytime you want to play.

CONS: The housekey doesn't really go into the lock and there is no place to store it. A big CON for us is that the door swings open very easily, especially when you have a toddler playing and moving around at the same time. This is irritating because if you are doing an activity like playing the radio and the door barely moves, the music is interrupted by the sound of the opening door and the hello or good bye announcement. We LOVE that the door has these features, we just wish it was not so sensitive because it stops any other activity you are doing if it is bumped even slightly. I wish the door actually latched shut a little and maybe the door knob really turned.

The pros definitely outweigh the cons! I believe this will be a toy that will be played with for many years. Our little one was 10 months old when we got this.
