Customer Review: A huge hit at our house!

We bought this toy for our son for Christmas when he was turning 9 months old and just started crawling and standing. He immediately fell in love with this toy and now, 5 months later, he still loves it. I have watched him learn so much using this toy. He learned how to turn light switches on and off b/c of the large light switch, became very interested in open/close b/c of the door and window, is working on his shapes... I just have seen him discover so much and I know the discoveries are just going to keep on coming. I was thrilled when he crawled through the door for the first time. We have fun playing peek a boo through the door or window, ringing the doorbell, etc. He can play with it independently or use it in an interactive way with us. Somehow the songs are not annoying. I don't know why someone would say this is not sturdy -- my 28 pound son who now stands and walks is able to push against it and it still holds up. I mean I wouldn't recommend body slamming it, but he's a rough and tumble boy and this house has withstood him just fine! This was our "big hit" toy. And compared to exersaucers, etc. this does not take up a ton of space. The convenient handle on top makes it easy to move around if necessary. We have bought the birdbath and phone that are "add ons" to the house.
I couldn't be more pleased -- I think this is a safe, well built, fun, educational, interesting, long-lasting toy!
UPDATE: This toy is now his baby sister's and she enjoys it as well. It has held up well, everything still works and my son still comes into her room and plays with it. I've never regretted this purchase.

I wanted to get my little one a toy that could help her pull up and stand. Her first birthday is just a few days away. So a month ago we all went out to Toys R Us to see what she would like. I was alittle upset because there were many toys that I wanted to get her. But I knew they would fall once she tried to use them to stand. My little girl also only likes toys that make music or talk. I found many little toys to get her. BUT I wanted one that she could pull herself up and that she could walk around the toy. I saw this house and after looking at the picture on the box I pulled it off the shelf. After reading about the toy, I wanted it. It was just what I was looking for. We put it back on the shelf and put it on the birthday list. The next weekend I couldnt wait. It was so perfect I needed to get it. I went to two different Toys R Us's. Both were sold out. This is the hotest toy out there right now. I found it at a Babies R Us. I got it home and rolled my eyes. SCREWS... I thought that meant it was going to be hard to put together. Not true though. It took me about a half hour to put together. MY little girl loves it. My 8 year old son likes it as well. It is worth the money. There is so much to do and hear in this toy. I have noticed that my little one twice got her wrist stuck between the house and door. This didnt hurt her. She cried because she could move her arm. She has now learned how to push the door when this happens and doesnt cry. There is plenty of space between the door and house so that it doesnt hurt. This is a great well thought out toy. I just bought this toy for my son who turned 12 months old 2 weeks ago. He has so many toys already that I was worried this would take up too much room, but it really doesn't take up too much space at all. So I really liked that and bought it at toys r us rather than online to avoid the high shipping cost.
Well, my son just LOVES this toy! It has SO many things to play with that he never gets bored with this like he does his other toys. And just when they think they have discovered all the things on the home, you can switch the learning mode from music to words for double the fun! My sons fave part is the mailbox. We play together with that part so when he opens the mailbox I stick my hand out from the other side and tickle him... he loves that and I like that I can play WITH him as opposed to so many other toys on the market.
Overall, the set up is fast and simple... the learning ability is endless... the sounds are wonderful AND there is volume control, etc. This toy just replaced about 10 of my sons other toys because it has them all in one place now! I can't say enough + things about this. Worth every penny and I would've paid more. GO OUT AND GET THIS TOY FOR CHRISTMAS!!! You won't be disappointed and neither will your baby. :)
PS It does need 3 'C' batteries just so you know. And it's fully adaptable with all the other 'Laugh and Learn' toys like the birdbath, plush puppy, phone, and learning table. I already had the laugh and learn phone and now the learning home has a place for me to put it. :)
Customer Review: Fantastic Toy! Definitely Worth Buying!

When looking for a Christmas gift for my daughter, I saw this but dismissed it at first, thinking I did not want another "big" toy in the house taking up a lot of space. After reading the reviews and looking into it further, however, I decided it would be a good choice after all and we purchased it. I'm SO GLAD we did! It was easy to put together...I did it myself in about 20 minutes thanks to clear instructions. I purchased it for my daughter who was 3 months old at the time, knowing she'd have to "grow" into it. (Now at 6 months of age, she is showing interest in it and scoots over to it on her tummy. She has fun playing with the spinning wheel on the front and likes to reach up and get the doorknob and the mailbox.) I also have a 3 year old daughter and she LOVES this toy! She plays with it every day and we dance to the music all the time. She got the Dora dollhouse for Christmas, but to my surprise, she plays with this WAY more! The activities and songs are cute, educational, and fun and the house is great for pretending, with a mailbox and window that open and close, a big lightswitch (the light that goes on and off is adorable!), and of course, the great door! There are so many activities and choices that my daughter can play and play with it without getting tired of it. And it actually doesn't take up that much space. I LOVE the handle on the top, which makes it easy to move. I know my littlest daughter (and my 3 year old, too!) will get many years of enjoyment out of this toy! Definitely worth buying! I highly recommend it!
