Customer Review: FUN, FUN! Much better than some other walkers!
Summary: 5 Stars

I first purchased the Chicco Play N' Ride walker (based on all the glowing amazon reviews) for my now 13 mo old when she was about 11 months old. Just about two weeks ago, for Christmas, my brother sent us the Laugh & Learn Stride to Ride walker and BY FAR my daughter as well as my husband and I prefer this one to the Chicco one. This walker is SO MUCH more stable because of the way the child stands close to the front/middle of the walker. With the Chicco one she would try to pull herself up and it would just flip back on top of her (even when we would put some weights down under the seat as some on amazon suggested). Also I feel this walker allows for more natural movement than the Chicco walker, more room to move the legs forward without bumping into the toy. She likes the various buttons she can push and the 'trunk' where she loves to put items of all sizes and of course then take them back out. (what child this age doesn't love doing this) As others have noted, there isn't much resistence in the wheels. We got past that by only allowing her initially to use it on carpet, because then it is much slower. Once she got the hang of it though, she has no problem using it on tile and controlling the speed of it herself. With all walkers, I wish they would turn easier, but at least this one you can guide easier without it flipping over like the Chicco one does (again this is because of the tripod like stability of the wheels.) In general I highly recommend this walker.

Customer Review: My son's favorite toy!
Summary: 5 Stars

A must have toy! This car is my 11 month old son's favorite toy; he rides it as soon as he wakes up and all through the day! I bought it for him on his 9 month birthday, before he was crawling, and even then he was able to sit on it and 'drive' the car, with my help for balance. It helped perfect his balance very quickly, and now he can pull himself up and pull his leg over it to sit on it. After he learned to crawl at 9.5 months, he was even more agile as he drove it as a car.

As a walker, you need to assist your child as it is light and your baby's weight will thrust it forward too fast. I hold the front of the car while he uses it as a walker and it is excellent for him to learn to walk. You just have to hold onto it as the baby uses it, but you would be with your baby anyway so it's not a big deal. His agility has improved and he will walk in the next few weeks at this rate!

The stickers have not come off for me and I just went over them with my finger when I put it together to make sure they were sealed on securely. Haven't had a problem with them in over 2 months of daily use.

A must have toy and it will travel with us in the car for a visit to Nana's house!

Customer Review: Excellent first birthday gift
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this for our daughter on her first birthday, and we couldn't have chosen a better gift! The first 2 days she was scared of it, but now she is hooked. She started just taking tiny little steps behind it as a walker, and less than 2 weeks later she is walking on her own. She still loves to push the walker around the house though, stopping to clap to the songs. The buttons and switches are fun for her and she LOVES that the hood opens up for her to hide things in (if your keys or remote go missing, check there!). She hasn't started using it as a ride on yet, but I'm sure that will come soon.

A word of caution, the legs are wide enough that little feet can stand on them, and the wheels aren't slowed by any sort of breaking device. Once it gets rolling it really goes. Additionally, there is no place for feet to rest when in the "ride on" position, so it's not easy for mom or dad to push little ones that are sitting on it. They've pretty much got to be self powered.

I would highly recommend this to any one year old. It's safe, it's cute, the songs aren't awful, and it taught my one year old to walk in less than 2 weeks!

Customer Review: Tips easy from the front
Summary: 1 Stars

My 9-month old son received this walker/rider for Christmas. We are VERY disappointed, especially for $35. My son is pulling up to everything and would love to start striding along; however, he tries to pull up on the walker from the front, and he pulls the thing on top of him (b/c it is so light-weight), causing him to not only fall but to also pull the toy on top of him and konk his head--of course causing him to also scream. In the past week, this has happened multiple times. There are NO brakes so the thing goes way too fast when pushed, again, causing my son to fall and cry.
THEN, the songs are just weird, and the ABC song STOPS before finishing--how educational is that?
Anyway, unfortunately, we threw out the box (thinking that Fisher-price had to know what they were doing)--otherwise, this thing would be going back to the store. I'd highly recommend checking into other products before buying this one. It's an accident waiting to happen. I'm shocked at all the high reviews; it is very cheaply made and highly disappointing.

Customer Review: fun toy
Summary: 3 Stars

My 9 month old daughter loves this toy. She loves the music, I think it is pretty annoying already and its been only 2 weeks, but oh well. I did put tape over the button that starts music for the hood of the car with the shape sorter. My daughter loves opening and closing it and the song was driving me nuts, starting over and over everytime it opened or closed. She really loves me pushing her while riding it and she pushes the buttons for lights and music. It has taught her to hold on and soon I think she'll be able to push it with her feet. The walker isnt great because it doesnt have any kind of speed brake. She stands and is starting to cruise but if she puts any weight on it she'll fly forward, maybe it will work later but by the time she walks alone she probably wont want to use it. Wish the company had thought about that, I know some other kinds do have a speed brake so if you want it primarily for a walker buy something else. It is a good toy though, I think it is something she'll continue to use for awhile.
