Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Smart Bounce & Spin Pony

Customer Review: Pretty disappointing
Summary: 2 Stars

I love the idea of this toy but as others have said, it has some major flaws. It is very hard to bounce and does not rock back and forth like you would think it should. My 23 month old son got bored with it quickly because he had such a hard time making it go up and down and it squeaks pretty bad. Instead, he liked flipping through the different options like a remote on the horse. The graphics are rather disappointing too although I do like their content. This is a pretty large toy, especially the base, so I'm sad to say it is in our basement collecting dust. We've had it for about four months and it was only out for two as my son ignored it.

Customer Review: Fun with learning
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this product for my 15 month old granddaughter. We got it out of the box and she immediately wanted on it to ride. We let her get used to the feel before we hooked it up to the TV. She figured out she was making things happen on the TV within a few minutes. One thing to remember, attention spans are short for the little ones, so don't get frustrated because they won't do the games like you think they should!! As long as it is fun, they will return to playing over and over. She plays with almost daily and mixes it up with and without the TV. Great product for the money and VERY durable. Takes and beating and still works!

Customer Review: Not worth the money.
Summary: 2 Stars

I have to confess that my DD hasn't played with this toy yet. I bought this toy second hand because it was so expensive full price, and I'm so glad I did. This toy makes a lot of noise when you bounce it up and down. It's pretty stiff as well. My main complaint is with the video portion of this game. The graphics are really poor. It looks like a game from the 1980's. It's also not really a "game". The more you bounce, the more the show will progress. I don't think that my DD will understand that she is the one making the actions happen. I payed 25$ second hand, and I wouldn't pay more. This toy just isn't worth it!!

Customer Review: Entertaining for a while
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this for my 15 month old son. He loves to ride the pony and use it on the option not connected to the tv. When it's connected to the tv I am not sure he really realizes that he is controlling what is happening on the tv yet. He doesn't know to make the pony bounce or spin the roller every time that he wants it to do something so that makes the tv part of it sort of boring. Maybe it will be more worth the money once he really realizes the connection. He does love the pony and it is really durable. The options on the tv part of it are of good educational value as well once they realize the connection.

Customer Review: My Son LOVES it!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My mom bought this for my son for christmas. We just recieved it yesterday. He was so excited when he saw it that he barely let us put it togather. Once we put it togather he wouldnt stop playing with it. It is a little tough to bounce. It does spin but not very easily. Also I thought it would rock back in forth like other posters. But all in all I do think it is a fun toy. I have not yet plugged it into the T.V yet. My little guy has other toys that plug into the tv and he just isnt impressed. I would recommend it to anyone. Maybe the zebra is better suited if you dont want the tv option.
