Customer Review: Cute but not memorable

My son, who is 1, saw this in the store and had to play with it. So, we bought it for his birthday. It's very cute but for the price, again, FP could do better. It tips easy and that is something FP needs to address with a lot of the toys they market to this age group, the pulling-uppers. They try to pull up to stand and end up falling over or on the toy. Although my little boy will play with it when we prompt him to by hammering the shapes or making the music and lights go off, it is short lived as he eventually tries to pull up and falls. I think he is associating this toy with falling and doesn't want to play with it because of that. I may return it as we have only had it a few weeks and it just sits there. And I have to say, he loves to hammer (so much so my 16 year old was calling him Thor) so I thought it would be a winner. He has another hammer toy that is low profile and that doesn't tip if he pulls up and he loves to hammer on it. Quality-wise it seems constructed well and the over all concept is good. It just needs the issues worked out. Maybe FP should hire some of us moms with babies that are active. They would probably have better toys and make more money. Just a thought!
