Customer Review: SO MUCH FUN!

Received this for 1 y/o as Christmas present. They love it! They hug it close to them and say "ahhhh." When the music plays, they dance and clap their hands. It is really fun for mommy too because it is so enjoyable to see them be so delighted. Their favorite song is the "Head, Shoulders,..." song, and they have actually discovered that if they keep pressing the little musical note, eventually they will get to the song that they're looking for! When they find it, they get all excited...smiling and looking at me expectantly because they know I will dance and sing along too. Only one little problem......every time you touch something on the puppy it interrupts the last song or phrase with something different. This is very disappointing to them after they hit that musical note several times and finally find their favorite song, then they hug puppy excitedly, and he stops singing that particular song. They just look so "bummed" when this happens. But, with the exception of the little sensitivity issue, this is really a great toy! I had seen this puppy and honestly didn't think it was very cute (blue ears?), but a friend told me they loved theirs, so I decided to give it a try. It has been worth every penny! Bought it for my 5 month old, but both my girls LOVE it! (My other daughter just turned 3 years old.) My 5 month old loves to suck on the ears, which worries me a little considering other reviewers' problems with broken ears, but ours has been fine so far. I love that it does so many different things--great variety of music and educational experiences, plus cute, delightful phrases! Also love that it does all this and is a SOFT toy. I don't have to worry about my 5 month old getting hurt if she topples over on it (just mastering sitting up!). The large size seems to be perfect for her developmental level also...it's easy for her to grasp and cuddle and is the toy she reaches for first every morning! My only complaint is that the words to "Do Your Ears Hang Low" aren't the traditional ones I grew up with, but that's really no big deal. I got this as a baby shower gift and thought it was a very nice toy but noisy. When I first showed it to my 2 month old baby, she was scared by it. At 4 months she stopped being scared and liked the songs it would sing but she was not too interested. When she finally figured out how get the puppy to sing songs and make sounds on her own - at 6 months, she fell in love with it. And she hasn't stopped.
Every day she will play with it for at least 15-20 minutes and then carry it around for some time. If she is cranky, I can always divert her by making the puppy sing songs (any music diverts my baby, she specially likes these songs because she knows them). It's like an old friend to her and no one but her must play with her puppy or she will come running to take it away! :)
The batteries have lasted all this while (5 months of using every single day) and I even washed the dog in the sink (it should only be wiped down) by mistake - it was fine after being dried out in the dryer. Very durable and unlike other Fisher-Price toys, not plastic.

A couple weeks ago on a shopping trip to BRU with my mom my 6 month old daughter saw this puppy and could hardly contain herself. She was squealing and reaching for it and grinning from ear to ear.
Well we just went again yesterday with my mom and my daughter who is now almost 7 months had the same reaction so of course grandma just HAD to buy it.
This is an awesome toy that will grow with your baby. Right now it is a cute friend who plays happy tunes and is interactive. She is learning cause and effect and absorbing (as much as a 7 month old does) the abc's and songs the puppy plays. As your baby grows they will learn colors, numbers, alphabet, body parts even friendship, the puppy says"give me a hug".
Another great feature is that the songs and music arent annoying at all and I dont mind listening to it.
I really appreciate toys that will grow with my daughter and will withstand being passed onto future children. With fisher price toys Ive had nothing but great success!
This is an awesome toy that is more than worth the 19.99!
Customer Review: MY TWINS LOVE THIS PUPPY!!!

My 1 1/2 year old twins LOVE this puppy. They have had him around for over 6 months, and they never seem to tire of him. He sings, he identifies different parts of his body, and he is DURABLE! My kids have taken to catapulting him across the room to watch him fly, and this puppy can take it like a champ! Do prepare yourself for a pretty talkative toy. The slightest pressure from your child will have this pup blabbing away and singing. The so-called 'Off' button is at the bottom of one foot, but is not very effective because the slightest pressure on any one part of this pup's body will set him off, and he will start blabbing and singing again. If you can get him away from your kid (good luck), that will pretty much be the only way you can guarantee some peace and quiet for sometime ------ that is, until your kid catches a glimpse of the pup from across the room, and starts screaming for him. DO BUY this puppy because he's an excellent learning tool, and anyway it is your duty as a parent to suffer through the tribulations of your child's learning process. ;)
