Customer Review: Cuddle Puppy compared to Baby Tad
Summary: 4 Stars

Cuddle Puppy:
1. has more buttons than Baby Tab and they are placed on the extremites (long droppy ears, hands, feet, tummy, nose) which makes it much easier for a 6 month old to activate.
2. Quite a variation of music and words, more than one for each button. Its constantly talking, even talks spontanieously if you ignore it too long.
Baby Tad:
1. The music Baby Tad plays is more soothing, great for nightime.
I find cuddle puppy's voice a little annoying and loud actually, however my son adores him.
2. Also you can set how long Baby Tad plays (1-6 minutes). With Cuddle Puppy, it plays short little snippets of songs when you press a button.
2. I find all the buttons being together on Baby Tad's tummy difficult for my young son. They are too close for him at such a young age so he can't differenciate, he just hits them all. On Cuddle Puppy, he likes to grab the ears (activating a button) and then touch the face (pressing the button), then the hand etc. I think he understands it better at 6 months.
3. However all Baby Tad's buttons light up when pressed and also during songs. On cuddle puppy, only the bonetie lights up when it sings.
Of the 2 I prefer Cuddle Puppy for my 6month old child.

Customer Review: My sons fav new toy
Summary: 5 Stars

In just a few days this has turned into my sons fav toy. At 6 months its just cute to see him become so attached to something. He has a blanket that he uses, but doesnt need it with him all the time. He only gets a nuk at bed time, so this is his first security thing i think. We bought this for our son and daughter, for what we thought would be a learning toy. That we would just put in the toy box at the end of the day. But now its Bryants puppy. Since he started to crawl he holds onto the puppys ears and crawls along with him its so cute :) We also found that when hes tired he loves to rub the puppy's ear agaisnt his face and it helps him fall alseep. He actualy hasnt used his nuk in 4 whole days now!
Besides being just so cute and soft this puppy is a great learning tool. There is just so much to do on this little guy! Abc's counting, music, lights and the names of body parts. At night or at nap times we have just been turing the switch off so the puppy doesnt start up while our little guy is sleeping.
Our daughter also enjoys the puppy. When she can get her hands on him she likes pushing his little bottons and hearing what he has to say. Or likes hear the music. All around i think Bry gives this puppy 5 stars so does mommy and daddy!

Customer Review: Cute toy but you have to turn it off after every use!!!
Summary: 3 Stars

First off we really like this toy. It is great teaching kids all the different body parts. We would give it a 5 star except that our kids rarely play with it. Even when it was brand new they had very little interest in it. We have a 1 , 2, and 3 year old. All boys.

The other reason for the lower star rating is because the toy almost gave my husband a heart attack and has sense been turned off and put in storage.

We have always kept it off because the boys never really touch it. One day they were playing with it and so I turned it on. Playtime was less than 5 minutes and I forgot to turn it off. The next day we left town for a few days leaving my husband at home alone. The second night we were gone at about 3am the toy woke up. My husband woke up to the toy saying "i see you".....my husband woke up with an almost heart attack. He ran into the hallway looking for a crazy person only to hear "i need a hug". He then realized that it was a toy by the sound of the voice and location from which it was coming from. He was furious and we no longer have the toy.

So 3 stars due to having to turn it off after every single use. Parents remember things like nap time if you forget to turn it off not to mention bed time.

Customer Review: Too sensitive to complete a song!
Summary: 3 Stars

I'm torn on this one--my 8-month old daughter LOVES this puppy. She perks up when he starts talking or singing. BUT, it is way too sensitive as far as the sensors to start a new song/sounds as well as the on/off switch. You can be barely touching his feet on the ground as if you're making him dance and he will keep saying "Bye-bye" and then "it's learning time" back and forth because he so easily turns on and off. If it were up to my daughter, this would be a "5" and I would probably rate it a 1-2 because that flaw is so annoying. He can't even complete 1 song before she barely touches (or brushes against!) another paw and a different song plays. That's why I couldn't rate this higher--how can she learn the entire song and it be educational when the entire song won't play because it keeps changing. As for durability, I rated this higher because, so far, he's holding up. And although my daughter is young, she's a little rough, pulling on him and falling over on him, chewing on him etc and he still looks great. Just wish they had put the on/off on his back or something, not as a sensitive sensor on his foot next to modes of play.

Customer Review: This puppy is cute...but kind of creepy
Summary: 3 Stars

My mother bought this puppy for my son a few months ago because she thought it looked adorable and that it would be a great way for my DS to get started with learning colors, body parts, ABCs, and other things. There's a learning mode which features the body parts and ABCs and a fun mode which features songs like "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" and the poem "This little puppy went to market." The puppy is soft and has lots of bright, cheerful colors on it.

However, I agree with other reviewers that say it is WAY too snsitive. Before my son was old enough to play with the puppy, it sat in a closet in a quiet spare bedroom. Every once in a while I would hear it randomly say something or start singing a song. My husband and I joked that it was possessed! Also, I am finding that my son doesn't really seem that interested in playing with it. It could be just one of those quirky things where some kids would love it and my son happens not to. And maybe he is too busy chasing after the real-life dogs that live with us! I was pretty disappointed in this toy and it was not a good buy for us.
