Our only issue is that it is not DURABLE as advertised. We have only had the CD player for 2 months, used it maybe 6 times and we are already experiencing skipping and not starting. Since our son does not use this without us present, I know nothing has been done to it, it hasn't dropped etc. I would say for the money I am very disappointed in the quality. As a concept it's great, size is right etc. Maybe we just got a dud? I'm calling to see if we can get an exchange.Customer Review: spotty quality

My kids received 2 of these for Christmas from the grandparents for our upcoming family trip in March. My kids were very excited. We charged them and put them aside, since I didn't want my kids to get bored of them before the vacation. My son wanted to try them out recently (I am glad he did). His sticks on a loop of the intro and won't play any dvds. My daughter's worked for about thirty minutes and now does the same thing. I bought this for my 2 year old daughter. She loved it. Used it on all car trips, at the mall, restaurants etc. BUT it doesn't have a lock to keep her from continuing to open it. Then she slams it shut and soon the DVD is ruined. The buttons should have a locking mechinism as well. After dropping it several times it did stop working. The latch that holds down the DVD in place becomes loose so the DVD won't play. Great idea, needs better engineering.Customer Review: Junk. Broken before used for more than 1 trip.

Thia was purchased in advance for a vacation that included car and airplane trips. We managed the one trip and it stopped working. My kid was restrained in a carseat - it didn't see any abuse or get dropped. This is easily the worst purchase I have made for my child. It isn't tough at all. And for the money, it should last more than one trip.
The image quality also turned shabby after a few hours of viewing. There were lines in the screen.

This was a gift to a 3 year old. The parents complained that the screen was too small for the child to view comfortably, compared to other DVD players that were less expensive and seemed to be of better quality. The battery ran out after 2 hours--not very convenient on a long trip.
I have always purchased Fisher-Price toys because of their quality and educational value. In my opinion, this toy fails to live up to the Fisher-Price name.
