My daughter was so excited about this camera, but I am returning it as soon as I can.
First, the battery compartment was a nightmare -- there needs to be 4 AA and 1 camera battery. The camera battery compartment wouldn't unscrew -- took 3 adults half an hour to get it out.
Second, the quality as noted by other reviewers wasn't great. However, my daughter was happy to take the photos, and I was thinking it was okay. not a great toy, but okay.
Then we downloaded the photos. We got about half down loaded and the computer froze. tried to download a few more times, but now the camera is frozen and not working at all.
It is a great idea, too bad it didn't work... My daughter of course is crushed.

The best and most useful toy I found for my daughter. It is well designed and my girl loves it. It has fallen down a few times but did not damage the camera. She is learning to use a camera at this early age of 3 and figuring out camera angles etc without any fear. I wish there were more products like this. It is on the expensive side though. Even adults love this camera. I took it to india and people marvelled at this product. The best part is the instant feedback that my girl gets when the pic is taken. It lets her know how it went and it hopefully lets her learn to sue the camera slightly differently the next time. I am not teaching her anything-I am letting her figure it out herself-the sign of a very good toy indeed.Customer Review: great for kids

No, the quality is not the best, but this is for kids. My 5 year old loves this camera. So far she has only wanted to print out a couple of the pictures and the quality has not bothered her at all. It is a rough and tough camera and perfect for clumsy hands who are learning what a camera is all about. We are planning on letting her play with it for a year, show some responsibility, and then it will be passed on to little sis when a "real" camera is bought. This camera is just a stepping stone to the real thing. It is a toy and bought in the toy section of the store. That is all that should be expected of it. For children who like to run around and snap pictures of anything and everything, it is perfect.Customer Review: Bottom line is our daughter loves to use it

Price, resolution, and display quality all go out the window when your kid runs around shooting their own pictures, gaining an understanding of how a camera REALLY works (composition, creativity, capturing a special moment).
Ease of use, indestructability (so far anyways), and simple uploading make it worth the other compromises.
This is NOT a high tech camera, but it IS kid-friendly. We have not added the extra SD card yet, since it is so easy to upload the images.
We have had ours since July, paid $59.888 for it via [...]; cannot say we have any regrets.
While I do wish the resolution was better, for my photo albums sake, I would still recommend this camera.

OMG this camera is wonderful! We just gave it to our 3 year old for her birthday and it's perfect for her! She loves taking tons of pictures, and since it's digital, we aren't wasting a ton of money developing pictures of nothing on a disposable camera. The quality is just as we expected, actually better than we thought. No 3 year old needs a camera with any more pixels and printing 4x6 prints for her is just fine. She's already learning how to set up and center a picture after having the camera for just a few days! Fisher Price came up with a wonderful idea for a camera to teach young toddler how to take pictures, and having it digital gives them instant results to help give them a sense of pride.
