Customer Review: READ THIS IF CONCERNED WITH PHOTO QUALITY
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased 2 of these cameras for Christmas back in August. Because I was concerned with the photo quality after reading past reviews, I decided to open one to check it out. I found the photos to be a bit hazy, but I decided that I wanted to keep the cameras anyway. Since the 90 day store return policy was nearing, I decided to check them both out again. I took the same pictures with each camera and found that one camera's photos were clearer then the other. I couldn't believe it!! I exchanged the camera that produced the hazy photos, for a new one and the photos came out much clearer with the new camera. I am definitely keeping these cameras, as I think they photo quality is just fine. Trust me, I very much dislike blurry photos!

Customer Review: Great concept, but needs some work
Summary: 3 Stars

Both our 4 and 5 year old kiddos love this toy. It is a great concept and never stops entertaining them! My only beef is that the LCD screen is so poor that you can barely ever make out the photos. I have yet to print out any of their images and don't yet know if this poor quality carries over to the photo quality too, but really hope not! I understand that for the money you can't expect much, but for a toy this WAS NOT CHEEP and knowing the technology available I can't help but feel a little short changed. I was torn between giving this 3 or 4 stars because the construction is perfect for rough kids to toss around and really play with and the concept is great, but can't overlook the poor (read: unrecognizable) quality of the LCD images!!

Customer Review: It's a horrible camera for its price.
Summary: 1 Stars

It takes horrible pictures. Pictures are blurry, color-tinted. Worst of all, that viewfinder that Fisher Price advertised as kid friendly is its worst feature! What you see through the viewfinder is not what goes onto the memory. We got one for my 5 yr old daughter and I kept telling her that she should not cut people's heads off from the picture. After a few lectures on how she should see all of her subject in the viewfinder to no avail, I decided to try the camera - and guess what? I cut her head off, too. Only 75 % of what you see in the viewfinder goes through the actual lens of the camera. I, as an adult, can learn to compensate but try teaching kids how to compose pictures with such a handicap. It was a big disappointment.

Customer Review: Fisher Price Digital Camera is definitely "kid-tough"
Summary: 4 Stars

This camera is built like a tank and yet is ergonomically designed for small kids. My 4 year old grandson started using it right away with ease. He has dropped it more than once with no ill effects. The controls are easy to learn.... the delete key is a little too easy. I want to save some of his better pics, but he started deleting pictures at will once the memory got full. The sound effects are a neat feature so the adult can tell which buttons the child is hitting. My only complaint is that the pictures are grainy and very low resolution, but for the price I shouldn't complain. Overall it was a great purchase and a good way to get a child involved in photography... the instant feedback is wonderful.

Customer Review: Rugged, Easy, Just OK pics
Summary: 4 Stars

As others have mentioned, the viewfinder is pretty lousy, and the picture quality isn't great, BUT it's a camera for a preschooler, so... who cares? My son got this for his 4th birthday and loves it. We can print the pics out on the Mac, and even his two year old sister knows how to "trash" pictures using the buttons on the back of the camera. The trash feature is a little TOO appealing, and they have a lot of fun trashing pictures to make the little trash can icon appear... lost some good shots that way. He's learning how to frame a shot, how to hold the camera still, etc. and we're not wasting film. It's already been dropped a number of times, and seems none the worse for wear.
