My 6yr. old daughter was so excited to get her first real camera. She was ecstatic when she began to use it. However, she was smart enough to realize that the picture quality totally stunk! Yes, she got to push the buttons on her own and take her own shots, but she also wanted them on the computer to look at. The pictures were horrible. This would be more suitable if she was three and didn't understand that the pictures go somewhere after the camera. It's a lot of money to pay for just another "play" camera. The camera has definitely held up well and still works, but it is definitely not close to a real camera.Customer Review: Fun & Tough

My daughter got this last year for Christmas when she was 4. It is very easy for her to use. No it does not take gallery quality photos. They are somewhat better than the camera on my phone and they look much better once you download them then they do on the screen.
One of the neighbor kids left the camera out in the middle of our backyard and we didn't notice for 2 weeks. We had a light freeze and about 6 inches of rain during that time. I put in new batteries and it worked just fine. It has been dropped down the stairs as well.
She has a blast with it and it is incredibly durable.

This is a great first camera for preschool age girls. My daughter loved taking pictures with this and found it very easy to use. There was some frustration over the quality of the photos, she found that she had to take pictures only in very good natural light to get a decent shot. She is seven now and ready for something more grown up looking that takes better quality photos, but I would recommend this as a fun toy for preschoolers, it is nice to know that if they drop it the thing won't break. I think it is too expensive though for what you get and would recommend looking for a second hand one.Customer Review: decent camera for little kids

I would agree with other reviews that I read about the quality of the pictures -- especially those taken with the flash. We got this for our 4 year old daughter. She really doesn't care much about the quality of the picture so she is absolutely find with it. She just likes to snap away and take a quick look at the picture she has taken. She has dropped the camera once and it still works fine. If your child actually cares about the pictures he/she takes, you are better off getting a regular cheap digital camera or buying a used one off of ebay -- which is what I did for my 6 year.Customer Review: Excellent Camera for a child to learn on!

This camera is excellent for a child to learn how to take pictures properly without cutting heads off or taking pictures of the sky!! My daughter absolutely loves it and because she can see what she has taken on the screen, she takes more time over actually taking the picture. The viewing screen is not as clear as a normal camera but then the camera does not cost as much!! It is very durable and can be dropped, kicked, you name it which is excellent for my 5 year old and stops her wanting to play with my expensive camera (thank God). All in all well worth the money.
