Customer Review: JUNKY HUNK O PLASTIC!
Summary: 1 Stars

Do not waste your money. Sure, my daughter who is three was so excited to get her own cam and so was I until I looked at the pics. There is no reason why they at least cant be viewable. There is basically no point in even looking at the pics since you cant even make out any of them. Yes, the quality is that bad. This thing was not cheap and I just dont get it. She wanted to see her pics later and I showed them to her and her smile turned into a frown and she just kept asking to see her pics and I kept telling her over and over there they are!!!! She thought I had lost my mind. My cam phone takes pics 100 times better than this. Look if your kids are this age just give them one of your old digitals. My daughter has never dropped mine and if she does I dont really care since its my old cam. Otherwise go out and buy them a ton of those cheap disposables or a regualar digital one for half the price. Trust me on this one!

Customer Review: A great product!
Summary: 5 Stars

This camera is excellent. I saw some reviews that criticize the quality of the on-camera display, but my 5 year old loves this camera, and as a result, I love it too. It is very durable, sturdy and I dare say kid proof. The quality of the pics in high resolution is about as good as I expected when I consider that my daughter loves to see that her pictures are downloaded to our computer. She isn't picky about the resolution of course. This camera is a great product, an excellent learning tool for taking pictures. Depending on how you look at it the only downside to the limited on-board memory is that in hi-res it only takes about 20 pictures. The upside to this is that you don't have to download and organize that many pics. I purchased a 1MB memory card for $7.00 so now she can take pictures till her heart's content. I am glad I bought the camera, but not quite as glad as my child. Have fun!

Customer Review: Excellent for Preschoolers
Summary: 4 Stars

No doubt about it, this camera is a TOY! The picture quality is usually poor, but you can tell what the subject matter of the photo is. More importantly though, my now 3 y/o and 5 y/o absolutely love it! We've had the red (Target) version of the camera for over a year, it's been dropped, thrown and thoroughly abused, and it's still going strong. They've gone from taking pictures of the floor and of people's torsos (heads cut off) to actually composing a photo of a still life or of people's faces. They have never been disappointed by the picture quality, they're just happy to see the image on the view-screen. I first tried getting them an inexpensive "real" digital camera and it was much too difficult for them to use. If your kids can take care of a real camera, then skip this, but if you're looking for a fun toy, this fits the bill! I'd get another if I didn't want them to learn to share!

Customer Review: Nice Camera for Kids
Summary: 4 Stars

If you have a child that is nuts about cameras, this is the one to buy. Unfortunately our 2 year old granddaughter became bored with it very quickly. The problem being that (through no fault of the manufacturer)you have to "dump" the pictures that are on the camera onto your pc, and our granddaughter doesn't have the patience to wait for an adult to do this, so we find ourselves deleting the pictures she took so as not to cause a big fuss over "waiting" time. All in all, it's a great camera for the price. The picture come out pretty clear without alot of light, the child has an easier time walking and shooting pictures due to the double view (they don't have to use 1 eye to see what they are taking pictures of, and it is incredibly durable. Ours has hit the hard floors many times and it's still in perfect shape. Basically, if you have a junior photographer in your home, it's a great value.

Customer Review: zrecs.com compared all and found this one was the best, and I agree
Summary: 5 Stars

My 5 year old is wild about this and we are very pleased with the purchase. It's been easy for her, easy for us to download and unbelievably durable. We checked Zrecs.com which did a side-by-side comparison test-trials with all the kids digital cameras (pixie, world, and v-tech included)and they picked the fisher price one on all counts, including resolution. I do concede that the pic resolution is not at the level adult cameras are, but I imagine that has something to do with attempting to package that somewhat fragile technology in the sturdiest form possible. The pics are still good enough to put in a scrapbook, etc.

Note: I would suggest spending the extra $ and buy the camera packaged with the extra memory card. It's hard to find it to buy separately and 60 pictures go quickly with trigger-happy kids. Hope this helps! Merry Christmas!
