Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera Pink [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]Customer Review: Awful pictures, eats batteries, but durable Summary: 2 Stars
Our daughter received this as a gift. We sent it back because alkaline batteries only lasted about 30 pictures before dying, and it wouldn't even power on with rechargeables, so we thought it was defective. The new one was the same. The pictures it took were comically bad...they make low-res cellphone photos look like ones from an SLR. Even our 4-y.o. asked why the pictures looked so "yucky" on the computer. But, it's durable. I really think this camera is best played with as an unpowered toy, but $50 or so seems really expensive for that.
Customer Review: Broke after two weeks Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased this camera for my children (6,4 & 2 yrs old) They loved it! Especially that it had a screen where they could actually see the picture they took. I wanted a camera that was durable. It uses up batteries pretty fast. And after 2 weeks, the camera just stopped working. My kids did not drop it or even play rough with it. I tried different batteries, but it just would not turn on. What an expensive mistake I made buying this camera. For something that is supposed to be kid-tough, I don't think it is at all.
Customer Review: Christmas favorite! Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't buy this camera thinking the quality could compare to a regular digital camera. I bought it because I knew my sister would love it and boy did she. Easily the best present she got this Christmas and she never put it down. She was snapping pictures of EVERYTHING! Learned how to operate it really quick as well. Loved the sounds it makes for startup and shutdown. I can't report on the durability in this short time, just the fun and enjoyment factor for a young 5 year old which was through the roof.
Customer Review: A HORRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY Summary: 1 Stars
I am so disapointed in this awful toy. The picture quality is so horrible, you can't even make out faces, the thing is so expensive then guess what? It needs batteries and eats them up within a few hours. You go broke by the batteries alone.
My suggestion? Go buy a disposable camera and let your toddler play with it. It's cheaper and the pictures will come out 100 times better.
Silly me, going on trusting that this product would work.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Customer Review: Good camera but buyer beware. Summary: 4 Stars
Make sure you have a good, up to date anti-virus software before you connect this camera. I would highly recommend erasing the memory in the camera BEFORE letting your child use it.I loaded up my son's camera today and ZoneAlarm stopped Trojan.Win32.Agent from loading. I scanned the pictures and they seem fine. I scanned the memory in the camera and it came back not only with Trojan.Win32.Agent, but also Backdoor.Win32. I reformatted the memory in the camera and scanned again and it looks clean.
