Customer Review: Good Beginner Camera for a Youngster!!

The camera is really cute. A little bulky, but our daughter seems to have no problem holding it to take pictures. It was very very simple to show her how to use all of the functions. So far its seems to be durable. My ONLY complaint is the picture quality. It is really bad. Most cell phones take better pictures. The photos are very grainy. I guess for a 5 year old it is okay and is good for her first real camera. One other note, the flash will not turn off, you must use the flash with every picture taken. Would I buy it over again? Yes, it is worth $40 to see how often she uses it before buying her a more expensive camera.Customer Review: Fun preschool toy - low resolution photos

My 5-year-old daughter received this camera as a gift and loves it. She is constantly taking photos and is so proud to show them to family and friends. It also has substantial memory (I don't recall the exact number, but I seem to recall it's 200+). However, the photo resolution is terrible (our family camera is a 5 megapixel snap-and-shoot, not extremely fancy. I allow her to use that one on occasion under supervision). Buy this product if you think your young child would enjoy a very child friendly, fairly indestructable camera, as mine does, not if you want high-quality photos taken by your child.Customer Review: Broke after 2 1/2 weeks and gentle use.

My wife and I bought this for our daughters and son(7 year olds and 5). They played very nicely with it the whole time that they used it. They loved looking at each other after the picture was taken. The frustration free packaging was great too.(very good idea amazon.)
I very got to the issue with the batteries because of the limited use. It just never turned on again after the kids went to bed. Very sad. It was returned after I read the reviews here and after no reply from Fisher-Price. I'll never buy another one of these from them again. I'll buy a cheap K-Mart camera for the price.

This camera is perfect for young kids! My niece has taken hundreds of photos and brings it everywhere with her . The photo quality isn't great and that was a brief issue for me, but then I remember this is a TOY and it's for young children. So for the price and used by a 2-5 year old, it couldn't be a better TOY. It's durable, easy to use, and fun. I can't comment on the battery life, but if it is an issue, then as a responsible parent be sure the camera is off after use. Either way, this is an A+ TOY, just try not to confuse what you want in a digital camera and what your 3 year old wants.Customer Review: For a "TOY", it's ok.........spend a fortune in replacing batteries.

I bought 2 of these before christmas during a amazon promotion and boy I'm glad I didn't pay full price. My kids (age 2 and 4) love playing with them. Even though most of the pictures turn out fuzzy, they have fun with them (they've taken over 100 pics)....so, as a toy, they are OK. I was not prepared to have to change the batteries constantly. It will only last one day of use before needing 4 new AAA batteries. If I had paid full price for this, I would be mad. I wish there was some way to charge them. The reason they got 2 stars is, the cameras are easy to use and very durable.
