I Purchased this camera for my 2 1/2 year old niece for Christmas and I can honestly say she loves this camera.
My 1 1/2 year old niece has the same camera and she loves it too. This camera is very easy to operate for both of them. It has an automatic shut-off to save the batteries which I believe all toy should have. Both of my niece's thought it was so fun to say cheese, press the button, and poof there's a picture on the little screen. This camera is perfect for children aged 1-5, simple to use, and fun to watch them use it. Parental supervision is needed thought to hook up the camera to the computer.
Cute camera, good price, durable!

My daughter received the camera for Christmas! She loves it! She hasn't learned the correct way to take pictures. The button to take pictures is in the front so she turns it around and puts the lens in her eyes. We show her how to take the pictures but she goes back to turning the camera around and facing it towards herself. I think it would be better if the button were on top so the children know to face it the right way when taking pictures. Overall, a great buy!

I read the reviews and carefully thought about this purchase...but now I wish I would have made a different decision. Yes, it is a toy, but if it's constantly freezing up, what fun can it be? My niece was very excited to receive this camera for Christmas, but to date she has taken about 2 pictures because it's constantly locking up and adult has to remove the batteries to reset it (don't even get me started on the battery removal process--disaster!). The "pictures" are more like ghostly images of people you may once have known. Overall, I am really unhappy with this selection. My wife and I bought this camera for our 4-yr. old daughter. Durability is as advertised, but photo quality is VERY POOR. For the price, F.P. could have included a decent 3-megapixel at the very least, after all, this is a "digital camera." Too bad they decided that a durable toy that just so happens to snap fuzzy pics, was enough.
My daughter loves snapping photos with this camera but after uploading them to our Mac, even she's not impressed, "These pictures don't look right, Daddy."
I'm still giving it a 3 for it's durability and fun factor.
Great idea Fisher-Price, but poor execution.

I bought this camera for my 3yo daughter. She loves it! It takes decent pictures for a TOY camera. If you're looking for professional quality this is not the way to go. But on high resolution mode my daughter's pictures came out clear enough to print. The battery life is terrible however! I'd say we got about 30 pictures in standard mode and 15-20 in high resolution before they needed to be replaced. The manual recommends non-rechargeable batteries but to keep down frustration I may try them anyway to keep her fun going. All in all it's a sturdy camera, that keeps her hands off mine, and she loves it! It serves its purpose!
