My son enjoys this toy but it will only go forward well on a hardwood surface. Our Carpet is just to much for it to move forward on it much at all. (With his waving arms and head - we tease that he is dancing.) The other dinosaur with 4 legs that walk - I think a maybe a triceratops does Awesome anywhere! We still enjoy watching this dinosaur but the 4 legged one always wins the races and is the one to charge into and attack this companion winning the battle!Customer Review: Fun at first, but quit roaring??

So I bought this for my son today. He was so excited! After about 20 minutes of play, the dinosaur stopped roaring. He walked fine, but the roar was a big part of why my son loved it.
I will attempt to return it tomorrow to a big name retailer, although the packaging is torn up, though I do have the receipt and the UPC code. My son still wants this one, so hopefully the replacement one will have no problems.

My 3 year old son is a huge fan of dinosaurs so he has a lot of dinosaur toys. Without a doubt, the Imaginext dinosaurs are some of the best and most durable toys on the market. My son plays with them every day. They are strong and solid and have survived being dropped on a hard floor several time with not so much as a hint of wear and tear. I really love these toys and will see to it that my son has the full set.Customer Review: Nice realistic movement

I purchased this for my five year old and his 4 year old cousin. they have a great time playing with the allosaur, and it appears to be very durable. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the dinosaur actually walks by itself. Usually they only take a few steps, but this one goes for probably a foot and a half before stopping and the motion is very fluid and reminiscent of a snake. While all of the Imaginext dinosaurs are fun for my four year old to play with, the newer group of walking dinosaurs are his favorite! He plays with these for hours. We also like how in addition to the name of the kind of dinosaur each toy is, that FP also gives each type a name like Whip or Trample...very cute.
