Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price® Imaginext Razor the T-Rex

Customer Review: Lots of FUN!
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a gift for my 6 year old son, and I can just tell you that he LOVES this toy! He has spent hours playing with this (we also bought the Imaginext Brontosaurus to go along with it) imagining all sorts of adventures. All the accessories are great fun too. The T-Rex makes "scary" noises that the kids can control by pushing a button near his belly that also makes the T-Rex "chomp". My 2 1/2 year old son loves this too, I will be getting him one of his own because my boys fight over who gets to play with this. Very popular toy in our house! The colors are nice and bright and the dino is very sturdy (it already has survived lots of fights!). Great price too. Overall I highly recommend this toy, in fact this was such a hit that I will be adding other pieces of the Imaginext Dinosaurs to our collection.

Customer Review: WHAT A COOL DINOSAUR!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 4-year-old received this toy for his birthday. It is a hit with him and all of his dinosaur loving friends. Fisher-Price has definately cornered the market with these wonderful dinosaurs. These dinosaurs are much cooler than any other dinosaurs I have seen because of the moving parts/action. The T-rex is extra neat as it roars. I like that it comes with an on-off switch for quiet play. My only concern is with the little guy and his "tools" that the dinosaurs come with. They are too little and easily lost. Nevertherless, it is easy enough for me to put them up on a shelf. My son is more than happy to play with just the dinosaur.

Customer Review: MY FAVORITE T-REX by O'Keefe and Mom
Summary: 5 Stars

I am 6 years old and Razor is my favorite toy. I love his growls! They sound like what I think a real T-Rex would sound like. I like Razor's colors of blue and red. I watch a lot of Discovery channel and have lots of dinosaur books and know that cavepeople and dinosaurs did not exist at the same time and that T-Rexes were probably green or brown or gray, but Mom says artists and writers mix fantasy and real life a lot. It's ok as long as you know the difference. Razor fights Thunder, the Brontosaurus, a lot and Razor always wins. I have the whole collection except for Whip, the Parasaurolophus. I wish every kid had these toys!

Customer Review: King of the Dinosaurs
Summary: 4 Stars

My little boy is a certified dino-phile, to the point where he's had to teach me to pronounce several dinosaur names (ever tried saying Edmontonsaurus three times fast?). But, like any kid, his favorite remains the T-Rex, tyrant lizard king.

When it comes to his numerous dinosaur toys, this is the most durable by far. Although we've had the same problems getting this to stand at times, as mentioned by another reviewer, that hasn't diminished my son's enjoyment.

To top it off, he's come up with fun new uses for the toy, too. That catapult is VERY good at aiming at our family cat, much to my son's delight.

Customer Review: Nice, but loses interest quick
Summary: 3 Stars

My twin four year old boys love dinosaurs and were very excited about this new series of toys; but they lost interest very quickly in them. They don't 'do' a whole lot and are not nearly as much fun as their Rescue Heroes. I think that it would help if they came up with a video for this series like they have for the Rescue Heroes. A video sparks the imagination and helps little people to learn how to play with the toys. My boys pressed the buttons a few times, and put the guy on top of the dinosaur, but then went on to something else. Razor looks very cool sitting on the shelf now...
