We bought the batman cave for my son's 5th birthday. He saw it at the store and told us that was the one thing he wanted more than anything. Both my boys, 5 & 3 1/2 played with it everyday. There are so many little doors, elevators, etc., it's great for using their imagination. We, also bought him, a batman car and the batwing. Very entertaining, I would recommend all of it.
If I had to mention any cons, it would be the little arrow shooter. It doesn't stay in very well.

Although this is a traditional "boy's toy", my 4-year old daughter can't keep her hands off it, whenever we go to her friend's house for a playdate. The first time we were there, she literally played with nothing else for two hours straight. It's still a favorite, several months later. I'm getting it for her for Christmas. She didn't even know who Batman was before playing with this toy, but the elevator, the figurines, and the helicopter (sold separately) are big hits regardless.Customer Review: LOVE IT!

My 3 year old son got this for his birthday in October and has played with it EVERY DAY since. The characters are just the right size for his hands, the bat cave stays together and is easy for him to carry. He loves Batman and all the different action figures that you can get to go with it. I never would have guessed that he would still play with it after all this time but he does. This is a great well thought out toy. We gave this to our son for his 3rd birthday. He and his 5 year old sister played with it during every free moment for 3 days straight! He still loves it. There are so many Batman toys for older kids, this one is PERFECT for the younger ones. There are so many fun parts to this toy, and little hands can work it. The only thing he asks for help with is putting Batman on his Batcycle, but I don't mind because I see him having so much fun. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my youngest son (who was just 3 at the time) in 2009. Here it is December 2010 and he STILL plays with it. It's a lot of fun with the drawbridge that goes down, the elevator that rises to the top and the hanging wire that goes up and down. My favorite part as Mom is that it folds up and stores nicely. If you are thinking of getting this for a Christmas gift for a boy age 2-5, I'd say you are really making a good choice!
