Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Super Friends BatcaveCustomer Review: fun bat cave Summary: 4 Stars
My 6 and 4 year old sons like playing with this toy. There are a lot of fun moving parts and it is fairly compact so it doesn't end up strewn all over the house. The gun that shoots the little projectile is a little finicky and one son accidentally shot himself in the eye while trying to get the projectile loaded. Also one of the gates doesn't stay shut very well but other than that it seems like a good toy!
This toy is not really what I would think of as an educational toy. I guess you could stretch it and make it educational if you really wanted to (learning physics with the projectile launch?). I would say this toy more of a driver for imaginative play. Whatever. My kids like it so I like it!
Customer Review: Awesome Batman toy with so many activities for younger kids Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this for my son for Christmas last year because he had been eyeing it for some time in the store. It was not a disapointment at all. It is very durable and well-made. The little characters are very detailed and the cave has so many things for my child to do. It has a warp-looking hole and a clear plastic "jail." It also has an elevator that goes all the way to the top and all kinds of doors and stairs to go up. I was so happy when I saw this toy because I was some-what of a Batman fan growing up, and my son isn't really old enough to enjoy the traditional action figures that are available. This was perfect for him and he truly does enjoy it and I enjoy watching him play with it.
Customer Review: Another Hit from FP Imaginext Series! Summary: 5 Stars
My 6 year-old now has his 4th FP Imaginext toy and it's a winner. He'd been interested in this Batcave for several months and finally received it for his birthday. He's spent many hours battling the Joker since and doesn't show signs of losing interest any time soon.
As a parent, I like how well these products are made, and how they include only a few bells and whistle sto keep things interesting but allow the child to use their full imagination. The ability to close up these larger playsets makes it easy to store them on a bookshelf. Unlike so many others toys on the market today, these Imaginext products are built to last. They are indeed a good value for the money!
Customer Review: BAT-MAAAAN, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah... Summary: 4 Stars
We have 2 young boys who love this toy! Obviously, not a lot of educational value to this one, but that's not the reason we purchased it. It has a lot of different activities for both Batman & Robin, and comes with a bat bike too. My kids especially like the cannon thing that shoots out the bat hook or whatever it is. The biggest problem we have with that, is they sometimes try to hit their baby brother while he's laying on the floor, which of course we had to put a stop to. In conclusion, it's a great toy and my kids thoroughly enjoy it. I believe someone put a video review on Amazon for this toy, and that's what I watched prior to making my purchase. Check it out.
Customer Review: Batcave Meets with Rave Reviews Summary: 5 Stars
We bought the Batcave for our son's 4th birthday last month. As he has recently become obsessed with superheroes in general and Batman in particular, we were pretty sure it would be a hit, but we were not expecting him to ignore his other presents and most of his old toys! Also appealing is that our younger son (21 months) is equally fascinated with the Batcave, and with a front and back, both boys can play without getting in each other's way. Even my husband and I have enjoyed playing with it! It's been a perfect gift, and we couldn't be happier. It would be a great choice for Christmas even if your kids aren't particularly Batman oriented.
