Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Super Friends Batcave

Customer Review: A fantasctic toy for creative play
Summary: 5 Stars

My 6 year old son saved up his money for a very long time with the goal being to purchase the Batcave Imaginext toy. The day it arrived he was so excited to get it open and set up. Once we had everything out and had played with the toy for awhile, I asked him if it was as much fun as he had hoped it would be. His reply to me was "Mom this is the best toy ever." He has played with this toy for the last two weeks everyday. It comes with Batman and Robin so his sister enjoys playing it with him as well. One of the coolest features on it is the elevator. You can place Batman or robin's feet in the red area marked with shoe prints and this allows them to move the elevator up or down three levels. This toy offers so much to help promote imaginative and creative play. Another highlight is that because it is Imaginext brand the characters and accesories can be used with other Imaginext toys. My son has an Imaginext boat and Batman and Robin are able to wear the scuba gear and they fit into the driving area of the boat. This allowed us to further the playing options. This is a fantastic toy and it provides hours of entertainment.

Customer Review: The boy LOVES it!!!

In the tradition of attempting to find our little man a decent masculine gift, we always fret over what to get him for Christmas. We attempt to stay away from the unisex toys that generally please all. We also have a hard time getting him some "boy" toys that are too mature for him. He wanted action figures, so this was ideal for a toddler/ preschooler. It has lots of little bells & whistles to it. We discovered them when we opened the box. He has literally spent hours playing with it. For little ones (w/ the short attention span), that says alot. I would recommend this, especially, to parents because it is very well built and sturdy. Unlike some of the toys that we've purchased in the past, we did not have to reassemble it once it was used and our little guy is tough on his toys. If you're looking for eduacational value, it is what it is: he isn't going to play with it and learn his alphabet. But in our opinion toys are for play time.

Customer Review: Batcave

I just purchased this for my son's 5th birthday. He saw this in the store early to mid 2009 and has asked for it at least once a week for about a year since first sighting. Now that he has it he doesn't play with it as much as I thought he would. It is just two days after his birthday so I'm hoping that it's just the influx of new toys that is distracting.

It is built tough like all the rest of the Fisher-Price Imaginext line. (We have the space shuttle, space station, all the alien toys and cars and they are built to last) I really like that it folds up and has a hook to lock the sides into place for easy transportation. There are some small parts that are hard to keep track of but so far nothing has been lost.

My son also received Mr. Freeze and the Batmobile as gifts and they have been a wonderful addition.

I personally think it's adorable. A WELL made toy ... built to last.

Customer Review: A great toy.

We just gave this toy to our son for his 4th birthday. His reaction says it all. We saved it for last, and he was so excited. All he could say was "Wow!"-- We couldn't open the box fast enough. The kid is not a Batman or even superhero fan in particular. But he's been playing with the Superfriends/BatCave for about 2 hours now. He's moved it from one side of the living room to the other, and is now under the dining room table with it, and added some plastic dinosaurs and a dog to the Batman and Robin figures. No buzzers, bells, or electronics. Just blissful, open-ended play with ramps, the elevator, props, levers, and especially all the little nooks and doors and windows that open, close, and interconnect. He's got characters talking to one another. There are so many clever little surprises. A very thoughtfully designed toy. The pirate ship is definitely on our wish list now.

Customer Review: Huge fan of Imaginext!!

There are already tons of glowing reviews so I'll just add that my three-year old had a very difficult time playing by himself... always needing mommy or daddy to watch over him. He got this for Christmas and played with it all day. Then he woke up the next morning and played with it for an hour BY HIMSELF before coming to see us. Since then he's been able to amuse himself with these toys quite often.

These Imaginext toys are very durable, very interactive and perfect at least for the younger part of the 3-8 age range they claim. My son loves figuring out all the tricks and switches, and even now that he's got them all figured out, it still holds his interest. We've since added the Dragon Fortress and the Toy Story 3 Landfill playsets, and he loves them as much or more than the Batcave.

Parents, have no fear getting this toy... your kid will love it.
