We bought this castle as a Christmas gift for our son who just turned 5. He already had many of the Imaginext knights and wanted the castle to go along with them. Since Christmas, this has been the toy he plays with most often! He loves the many levels, areas, and little nooks and crannies - someone is always searching for a hidden treasure, trying to escape, or trying to bring down the evil ruler of the castle.
Overall I would say the castle is well and creatively designed, and although not small, it can fold for better storage (many smaller pieces can fit inside). It also has a carrying handle, and is tough enough to be toted from room to room and take all the rough use a 5 year old can dish out.
Add in the free shipping and knowing you won't have to search stores for this hard to find item, and I'd definitely recommend buying the Imaginext Castle from amazon.com!

My 3 year old son got this castle for Christmas and loves it! He plays with it on a daily basis. Even his little brother (just turned two) and older sister (seven) enjoy it. It's very sturdy and doesn't make any noise! We have a few of the accessories to go with the castle, and I like the idea of adding to the set in the future. My son loves to make the trap doors and other surprises work. His favorite thing to do is line up his toy dinosaurs with the dragon and have them attack the castle. The knights fight off the beasts with their swords and the cannon. Sometimes, sadly, they get eaten. It's fun for us to watch him play, to see and hear his imagination at work. I bought this castle and an Imaginext dragon for my 3 year old's birthday. He and his 6 year old sister have had many wonderful adventures already with this set. The castle has many interactive parts --- working drawbridge, a trap door that drops guys down to the dungeon, secret doors, etc. The whole set is very sturdy and can take quite a bit of abuse. When I first got the toy in the mail, I was concerned that it was a bit big, but it really does fold together into a nice compact piece. I agree with a previous poster that it would be nice if there was a latch to keep it closed, and my son does have some difficulty putting some of the armor on the knights. But he plays with this set daily, and I would not hesitate to recommend it!!Customer Review: Finally, the "cool toy" age

My 3-year old received this for his recent birthday, and he loves it. Heck, so do I! The version he has came packaged with the normally sold-separately jousting knights, so you may want to shop around at your local retailers first, or wait til Amazon gets that version. Anyway, there is a lot to do in this castle, it is a good value for the price, and it looks to be very durable. My only complaints are minor: a latch to keep the castle closed when folded up would have been nice, and the helmets/capes don't seem to stay on very well.
The other toys available for the set will make his grandparents glad they have a goal for this Christmas, as they typically have no clue what to get him.
Customer Review: Great Castle for Little Ones - but Already Breaking!

This is an awesome castle set and both my 4yo and 2yo love it. There are lots of cool "secret" passages that open when you put the knights feet into them, great accessories including dragons, wizards, good and bad knights - everything you need for some great medieval imaginative play. I do like the Imaginext products better than Playmobile - for the younger set anyway. My only complaint is that our drawbridge is already broken and we've only had this castle a week! It doesn't sound like anyone else has had this problem and my boys are hard on toys but I would have thought it would have lasted for more than a week. Even with the broken drawbridge, though, it is a great set.
