Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Fix-it Right Manny?s Repair ShopCustomer Review: Loves Building with this Workbench Summary: 4 Stars
Have had this for a year now. Got it at Christmas for my 2.5 year old son. He loves building with it. It does have small parts, and we have a younger sibling so we keep the parts in a small (flip lock) tupperware box on the shelf under the bench. The one thing I wish was different is that you can only build one item at a time, then you must take it apart to build something different. I cannot find that anyone sells additional parts and/or instructions for other items to build. Our son is 3.5yrs now and is even better at building things without as much help. It has been a great toy and we haven't had any problems with things not working properly.
Customer Review: Be forewarned, box is labeled on the outside! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm giving a good review because the toy seems durable, fun, etc. although it's a Christmas gift so I may have to revise in the future. Usually I won't review a product I haven't at least given a good try out to, but I felt compelled to warn you, the box comes clearly labeled "Handy Manny's Repair Shop" in BIG, BOLD letters on the outside. If your little guy runs out to the UPS truck like ours does and can read, your surprise might be compromised. Luckily our delivery man was smart enough to angle it away from prying eyes. The price here is right- just be sure to catch the delivery before your child does :)
Customer Review: 4 year old says it's the best toy Summary: 5 Stars
My son received this for his birthday. He says it's the best toy. He plays with it all the time. He really likes building with his dad, so this toy was perfect for him. There is little storage, but with a plastic container it was easy to fix. We picked him up a little toolbox for storing all of his tools, he has quite a collection. We also hung the blueprint up on his wall near the workshop. This will keep it from getting ripped, and it is easy for him to look at. This is a great toy for young Handy Manny fans.
Customer Review: my granddaughters LOVE this! Summary: 5 Stars
My five year old granddaughter can't wait to visit so she can put together one of the easy projects, we are looking forward to see her skills develop. I do have a small problem with a female tool named "Squeeze." Just a tad bit sexist. The name of the tool fits (as they all do) but picking "Pat" to be the female would have been a better choice in my opinion. Maybe this would not occur to me if my grandchildren were not female. All in all the toy is very nice, much better than I expected.
Customer Review: Worth the MONEY!! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this toy for my 3 1/2 year old son for Christmas and it is well worth the money. The cool thing about the set is that you are able to build many projects and take them apart and start over. You do need to keep the pieces kept up and put away so they do not get lost but my son and I love to spend time building things. I do wish they gave a few extra nails and screws in the kit, but we have not lost any yet!!
