Customer Review: Toddler loves it but bulb is not replaceable!!
Summary: 2 Stars
My 2 year old loves it and my 6 month old does too. The light isn't too bright so a toddler staring at it really isn't a concern. The lens has the silouette of a wrench built in, so when it's shined at a wall you see the wrench projected...cute touch. Flicker's voice is a little loud and kind of shrill. It would be nice to have a switch to drop the volume, but most toys with audio would benefit from that. Ours extends and contracts back to normal just fine, but my child doesn't see it being extended as being "broken".
NOW FOR THE BIG PROBLEM...we just discovered that the light wasn't working and when we tried to remove it to take to a store to match, we found that it's permanently mounted!!! What good is a talking flashlight if the light doesn't work? No info on Fisher Price's website about replacement and no response from customer service. I understand not having parts that could come loose in the hands of a child...so screw the housing together the way the battery compartment does on every other childrens toy.
My sons love Flicker, but Fisher Price has effectivly made the toy disposable. Horrible design choice, Fisher Price...or was it intentional???
