Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Rock-a-Stack

Customer Review: An oldie but a goodie!
Summary: 5 Stars

My son loves this! He is 8 months now but started playing with it months ago. It is great for teething. He especially love when I unscrew the yellow pole from the base so he can chew on it. He only has two teeth but he hasn't made a dent in it yet. (FYI - it is all plastic, including the screw threads and the base.) I will pick up the rings, hold them out to him, and say the color. For some reason he thinks it is halarious. This toy is as classic as it gets and very reasonably priced. You can't go wrong.

Customer Review: No problems with a classic
Summary: 4 Stars

My little one loves this, she's only 6 months so she spends a lot of her time sucking with and shaking the rings (The top ring rattles) After purchasing it I noticed that there have been a few reviews that mention blue dye coming off the blue ring, but we haven't had this problem and I washed it well before I gave it to my daughter. Possibly there's been a bad batch? Anyway that's the reason for the four stars. I might not have bought it had I read those reviews but since we have there's been no problems.

Customer Review: A must-have baby toy
Summary: 5 Stars

This toy has great play and learning value. I have watched my sons progress from struggling to place the rings on the pole, to learning how to sort them by size and place them in the correct order. It has good bright colours, and I appreciated the fact that they were in correct rainbow order! This toy is very durable and has survived two babies' teething periods. I can see its play value lasting as my sons get older too, as we have had five and six year old visitors use it as a quoits game.

Customer Review: More frustrating than fun
Summary: 1 Stars

These toys are not as much fun as you would think. Small children who are just learning about their environment are not up to choosing progressively larger rings in order. They try to put them on the pole in the wrong order which is just plain frustrating. Maybe the rings could get larger but the holes in the center of the rings should be the same size, as should the diameter of the pole, so small children can put them on in whatever order they want -- that would increase their enjoyment.

Customer Review: Favorite Toy of mine
Summary: 5 Stars

I agree with the other reviewers here. This is a classic toy, teaches colors, sorting and stacking. It is great toy. Low price. Easy to play with, good toy to chew on (teething times), easy to clean. Toy that will last longer than they will want to play with it. My two still enjoys playing with this wonderful toy. Our Rock-A-Stack has 3 little balls on the last tube, makes it into a rattle, which my youngest son (10 months) enjoys shaking.
You can't be the price, we bought ours for $2.
