Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Rock-a-StackCustomer Review: A CLASSIC Summary: 5 Stars
I guess there is a reason we all had this toy - kids absolutely love it. My one year old daughter has been playing with it for six months and never seems to grow tired of pulling the rings off the stacker, walking around the house with them, chewing on them, hitting them on her other toys etc. etc. As she is just learing how to actually stack them, I am seeing hours and hours of more fun. We have bought a lot of toys for her this year - most of them a lot more expensive than this- yet the rings are far and away her favorites. Best money you will spend in the first year for toys.
Customer Review: Classic and cheap Summary: 5 Stars
Not much has changed on this toy in the past 30 years or so. It use to have a red ball on top and now it doesn't. That's about it. I remember my younger siblings having this many years ago. It's still a great basic fun toy that doesn't cost very much. I'm glad it's still available. My son loves it. He's had it since he was about 5 months and is now almost 3. The rings are made out of a good sturdy plastic that are smooth. The base rocks back and forth when pushed. Great for building hand eye skills while stacking the rings. Also babies love to chew on them! It's very durable as well.
Customer Review: A classic; simply the best Summary: 5 Stars
You can buy every toy you want for your child; the best toys are always the easiest, cheapest, and simplest. Take the Rock-a-Stack; our child's favorite. We've got three of 'em: one for every relative. For the youngest, they're simple chew toys; for the oldest they're balancing rings, shaking noisemakers; and for the in-between they're a little of everything. Probably the most played with toy we've got. Only downside is the lack of homing device on the rings and their tendency to roll under the couch, causing automatic induction of fit.
Buy a few of them.
Customer Review: It's a classic!! Summary: 5 Stars
Now-a-days everyone has all these great electronic toys that light up, make music etc., but this toy is just how I remember it. My daughter figured out how to dump all the rings off right away and the older she gets the easier it is for her to handle. The rings get bigger the further down you go, so when she was 5 months the green and blue rings were hard for her to grab but now at 7 they are no problem. The red ring is also a rattle. This toy gets played with daily and she still hasn't tired of it! I love the new toys but sometimes the classics are classics for a reason!
Customer Review: A classic toy at five times the price. Summary: 4 Stars
The price is terrific for this stacking toy that has been around for ages. When your baby or toddler begins to develop hand-eye coordination, this is the toy to stimulate him or her. Obviously, you should be near your baby to make sure she does eat the rings for breakfast. A little teething is OK. You can wash this toy in the dishwasher to get is almost sterilize clean. My son who is 3 liked this toy a lot. He did not love it, probably because it was not a car or truck, but we certainly got our moneys worth, time and again. Highly, highly recommended.
