Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Little Super Star Classical Stacker

Customer Review: Not a favorite in our house.
Summary: 3 Stars

We received this toy as a baby shower gift while expecting our now 4-year old daughter. While she seemed to be momentarily entertained by the lights and music, this toy never really held her interest very long. The pieces are also hard, big, and bulky - difficult for little hands to manipulate. By the time she was old enough to really be able to grab onto the pieces well, she was almost too old to play with a toy at this developmental level. We recently dug this out for our second child - a 10-month old boy. He is not that thrilled with this either. When I play the music, he will look over for a second or two, but doesn't really want to interact with this one. Not a big hit in our house!

Customer Review: CLASSICAL STACKER IS AN A+++++++ TOY!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought my daughter the classical stacker when she was about 6 months old. She is 9 months old now and still plays with it. It is a great toy because each star is a different color, and when seh picks one up, I will ask her if she has the "blue" star or which ever color she is holding. She loves to pull the star from the top and crawl around with it in her hands. She loves dancing to the music too. We had previously bought her just a regular stacking ring toy and she just used the rings as teethers, but with this one, the lights and the music just seem to get her intersted in figuring out "how they are supposed to go on that stick". All in all, a great toy! 5 stars in every area!

Customer Review: My kids love this toy!
Summary: 4 Stars

I have 9 month old twins and they both love this toy. They can put the rings in any order, and they can can grab them all and feel the different textures. These are the first toys they banged together to make noise. It is a good toy for them to share because they can each have 2 rings to play with while the post is between them.
I gave this toy 4 stars because the star that sits on top is pretty useless. It is supposed to be the trigger to press the button on top and play music, but it just sits on top so there is no way to keep it with the stacker. My kids just press the button to play the music, and the star is somewhere buried in the toy box.

Customer Review: best toy ever
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this when she was 4 months old and she loves it. Even at that age she could take the rings off but not get them back on and she could push the star sometimes. She is now 6 months and still it is her favorite toy...we put it on the floor with other toys spread out and she will crawl to it every time although she crawls backwards only. Every time it is like a new toy to her..she loves the lights and can grasp the rings perfectly her size. She still can't put the rings back on but she will now crawl to them and wait for you to put them on the stacker and she usually can hit the star. It is a great learning tool. I recommend this for every baby.

Customer Review: Strangely scary
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this toy for my granddaughter and she loved it while it was still in the box. The first time I took it out of the box and she heard the music, she cried (age 6 months). I thought it was a fluke so I put the toy away. I gave it to her a month later and the same thing happened. I also tried it last week (she's 8 months old today) and she still cried. I cannot explain this because she has several other Fisher-Price musical toys that she loves. Maybe, some day, she'll enjoy it.

Edit: At 11 months, this toy became one of her favorites. She now plays with every part of the toy and constantly finds new creative ways to play with it.
