Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Little Super Star Classical Stacker

Customer Review: Adorable but a little disappointing
Summary: 4 Stars

The Stacker is absolutely adorable, just like in the picture. There are some points about it though that I found very disappointing. They were :

1. The volume of the songs is very low
2. The songs are very short
3. The star on the top does not sit still. It wobbles and I always feel like it will fall off and get damaged, so I can't handle it freely.

All in all, it is a nice toy for a baby. I don't think that a baby would care too much about these things, but as a mommy, I was a bit disappointed. I used to have the older model for my older kids (the one with the white base) and that was really fantastic. It was cute and played much louder and longer, so I hope that Fisher Price would revert to these old design features.

Customer Review: Inexpensive, durable and holds my kids interest for much longer than other toys
Summary: 5 Stars

I haven't reviewed many toys but this one deserves a review. I have two kids who are now 14 and 16 months old. We've had this toy since our youngest was a baby and he's as interested in it as he ever was. He plays with it differently now but I'm amazed how it's kept his interest long after he's tired of most other toys. The stars are large, round and fun for them to hold. They even love dropping them on the tile floor as they bounce around, my kids laugh, pick them up and drop them again. I find the music and lights quite tolerable and of course best of all, it's fairly cheap. As others have mentioned, our kids can now begin to put the stars back in place. If every toy held their interest like this one, we'd be set for life.

Customer Review: Top Toy!
Summary: 5 Stars

A very entertaining toy that will fit in the diaper bag. This toy bridges the gap between electronic and classic playthings. We received it as a hand-me-down and it has proven durable. Both the stacking stars and musical base have been loved by baby since she was under 3 months. At almost 11 months it is still a favorite (It's being played with as I type! No joke.). The uses for the toy have manifested with the baby's age. At first it was a chew toy and now it is a push-button toy baby dances to each day. Thank goodness the music is pleasant! None of that high-pitched, low quality stuff. Just a note, though--when cleaning the stars, it is best not to submerge them in water or moisture may get trapped inside.

Customer Review: We all love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

Our daughter got this toy when she was born and still plays with it now (15 months later). While she stacks, lights brighten up the stars and it plays a cute song when she reaches the top with the yellow star. It encourages her to continue stacking while having fun. We like to turn the lights out and play with it in the dark so that she can see the pretty colors - she absolutely loves this toy. Great for any family and a perfect gift!

**UPDATE**

We recently purchased this toy for our 13 month old niece and she loves it. As soon as it lights up she starts to giggle and pull at the stars. Also, this is still one on my daughter's favorite toys and she is now 17 months old!

Customer Review: Always Brings a Smile
Summary: 4 Stars

My daughter got this as a Christmas present when she was 4 months old, and it wasn't until she was about 9 months old when she started really paying attention to it. She doesn't yet have the dexterity to stack the stars, but she loves dumping the toy upside down so the stars fall off. She likes watching me peer with one eye through the hole in the stars, and she even does it herself. And the stars are easy to grasp and bang together. Her favorite thing about this toy is when she pushes on the top button with her finger to cause the music and lights to start up. That always makes her smile. This is one of her favorite toys, but I think it will be awhile before she is using it to its full capacity.
