Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Bright Beginnings Stacking Action BlocksCustomer Review: Ok, but not great.. Summary: 3 Stars
These were a Christmas "Stocking stuffer" for my 8 month old last year, since she wasn't old enough for candy or traditional stocking stuffers. They have received that same level of importance in her toy box: just extra little somethings she looks at for a minute here or there but never the "main event." She prefers plain old colored blocks that she can easily stack over these. Also, the decals on them have started to peel off with limited play (although I do clean her toys with a slightly dampened rag occasionally, so this may have contributed to the problem.)
Customer Review: Good for busy hands & curious minds Summary: 4 Stars
We got these when my son was 10 months old and he instantly took to them. They each have a different spinning part which is activated when pushing on the top of the block. They also have open and close 'doors' that proved amusing for a bit. I found them great to pop in the diaper bag (small enough not to take up much room) and I'd take them out one by one as my son tired of the one he was playing with. They kept him interested and quiet for a good bit while at church or some other meeting that required quiet, so that makes them very worthwhile in my book!
Customer Review: 10 month old grandson loves them Summary: 5 Stars
My 10 month old grandson was actually difficult to buy toys for this past Christmas. He's too old for teethers and fabric blocks that don't do anything, but too young for hammering or stacking blocks. This set was perfect for him. He can hold them on his own and flip the little doors or push the top buttons. He will play with these for 20-30 mins at a time - which is a lot for a 10 month old! I've even seen him try to stack them up himself. I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend it for those "inbetween" (not infant, not toddler) babies!
Customer Review: Great toy Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter (7 mos.) absolutely loves these blocks. She received them as a Christmas gift and she still plays with them everyday. Out of all the gifts she received they by far were her favorite gift. She loves to push down the silly faces. They are so easy to clean (especially when she plays with them while eating lunch). I feel the blocks are helping with her fine motor skills/coordination. She screams when it is time to put them away. I went out and bought a set for Grandma's house. [this price]is a GREAT VALUE for this product.
Customer Review: This is a great toy, BUT don't pay more than $10. Summary: 5 Stars
I paid something $7 at a discount store that rhymes with "Doll-Part" and I loved these. They were great, they endured from the time my son was a baby to a toddler and held up quite well. They stack and are full of action. Each piece moves independently, or when stacked they all move together when sufficient force is applied to the top block. Hours of fun. But it can be found much less expensively elsewhere than the $19.99 I see they are charging today + shipping. I think that is overpriced for three blocks.
