I'm puzzled by the reviews who say their Pablo sings a lot of different songs. Yes the tab has been pulled out, but neither the description nor our experience indicate there is more than just the Backyardigans theme song. He does sing the whole song. In addition to the song he has various comments and plays "Pablo Says" (like Simon says).
He's cute and he does entice my daughter to interact. The sound quality is good for this type of toy. Yes, he needs a little space and a smooth surface to do his dance.
Happily there is a little on/off switch right inside the back flap because she insists on sleeping with him, even though he is a bit heavy and his body is hard plastic with just a cloth covering. At least his head is soft and padded and so far he seems pretty sturdy.
We have had several incidents of him stopping suddenly mid-song over the month we've had him, but haven't returned him for a replacement yet because the thought of it upset my daugher, and I wasn't sure a replacement would be any better. May have to get a back-up Pablo just in case.
